  I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews because my stay was great

  This hotel is located directly off i-74. A couple reviews said it's hard to find and I can't imagine how that can be. You can see it from the highway. I actually Work very nearby and I was closing and then coming back and opening the next day there was a bad snow storm and I didn't want to drive home to sleep for 6 hours and come back. So I booked a night here. Reading the reviews I wasn't thrilled about it. I tried to get in a different hotel here in town and they were booked up. But now having stayed here I don't know what the bad reviews are about. Maybe in the past it was different but as of December 2025 it's more than okay. If you nitpick and look for things you will find them. But overall the staff was very friendly. The room is very clean. It's Mills clean in the lobby it's Mills clean in the room. The bed itself is very clean and comfortable. I feel more than comfortable walking around in bare feet on the carpet. The bathroom is clean. There's a couple places along the top of the wall where there's a little bit of caulk peeling but it's very little. Other than that I truly can't find anything wrong with the room other than the fact that it's small. But for one person it's more than okay. Seeing some of the other pictures from past reviews of ripped curtains and chairs that look like they were pulled out of a garbage can I wasn't expecting much. But I would definitely stay here again. It's clean it's comfortable. It's nothing special. It's a quality inn. It does have a small fridge and microwave in the room both of which are very clean. Overall I would say don't let the bad reviews sway you. I'm currently sitting in the room looking around and I can't find anything to complain about. Absolutely nothing. If you're in the area you just need a place to stay I would definitely give this a shot.   We have stopped at the Batesville Quality Inn several times while on our way to Chicago. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. They are reasonably priced and give a military discount. No matter when we have come, the hotel is very quiet. They are very close to several places to eat as well as having a good breakfast selection.   I would not stay here again. I recommend you stay elsewhere. The curtains are torn, stained and don’t close enough for privacy or keep the light out. The chair I’m supposed to sit on is worn, torn and broken.   Shabby, But at All Chic!!

  The room was unbelievably shabby, with a huge rip in the sheer curtain. It looked like a rag hanging at the window! The toilet seat was the most chipped and stained one that I had ever seen, and the grab bar in the shower came off in my hand! The towels were small, thin, and dingy!

  Needing some Updates

  Picked this hotel for the price and location close to an event I was attending. I picked an accessible room. For the most part it was but there is no walk in shower. Great handles but the lip of the tub is considerable. This hotel has signs of age with the curtains being pretty grotty. Help was wonderful and helpful. Sleep was ok as the bed was not comfortable to me and the mattress likely needs replaces. Easy to park plenty of food places nearby to satisfy about any taste.
