    AVOID! Terrible place

    rating04 Oct 2025

AVOID!! I’ve been visiting Gumbet/Bitez for around 25 years now and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Food aside (Turkish isn’t always the best), the place was filthy. Despite being AI I only had two drinks all week. The area round the pool was never cleaned, dirty ashtrays (or cups) filled with cigarette ends, broken glass under tables, dirty and broken sun beds, full bins and the area round the soft drinks machine at the bar was sticky, dirty and had flies stuck to it. I never saw the pool water being tested, and came home with a severe stomach bug that lasted 3 days. Not sure if I can attribute that to the hotel but it’s never happened before! Do not be taken in by the photos, it’s nothing like that. And don’t even look for staff, they don’t wear uniforms so you can’t tell who they are. The only thing that I can say was ok - apart from the ripped curtains - was my room. Superior one with a pool view, but no outside space to hang wet clothes. Music was all Turkish, and no entertainment team to be seen, but that is a minor point. All in all, I wasted £330 on this hole. Fırat G, İşletme Sahibi at Hotel Bleu Nuit, responded to this review We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Cleanliness and guest satisfaction are our top priorities, and we are disappointed to learn that you felt otherwise during your stay. Please note that our housekeeping and maintenance teams clean and inspect the pool and surrounding areas daily, including regular water quality testing. However, your comments have been taken seriously, and we are reinforcing hygiene control and supervision to ensure our standards are consistently maintained throughout the day.We also regret that you were not fully satisfied with the food and beverage service. While we aim to offer a simple and affordable all-inclusive concept, we are currently working on improving menu variety and presentation based on guest feedback like yours. Our team members do not wear strict uniforms, but they all carry visible staff ID cards. Still, we understand how this might have caused confusion, and we will review this to make our team more easily recognizable. We are glad that you found your superior room comfortable, and we hope you will give us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a better experience that reflects our true hospitality standards.Kind regards,Hotel Management

Only good as a place to sleep, not what is advertised

    rating25 Sept 2025

The hotel is nothing like the pictures shown on the website or booking pages. The rooms are extremely dated, and not good quality. That being said they were fairly clean and fine to sleep in. The rest of the hotel is quite run down and dirty, I didn’t see anyone clean in the communal areas. The food and drinks were absolutely awful. All food was left out, open and uncovered (flies were everywhere) - having a microwave next to the ‘hot food’ should tell you all you need to know. Even the coffee and juice machines were filthy. The bar had a soft drinks pump machine but even these were watered down. Efes is on tap and that’s fairly good. No cocktails available or any other drinks. The aircon in the room worked well and the location is excellent, other than that this hotel is only good as a base to sleep and wash. Whenever we spoke to locals who asked where we were staying, it seems this hotel is well known in Gumbet for being extremely poor. They have also had numerous name changes over the years. I had read previous reviews before staying here (after I’d booked) so I expected the worse and it wasn’t far off. Please pay attention to the other negative reviews. There is no entertainment apart from music blaring during the day. There is an animation team but they only approached me once, whilst alone, and wanted to take me clubbing? Which I was not interested in. The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels were provided which was good (the room next door however did not get the same experience). Overall as a cheap base it’s fine to sleep in, and the location is excellent. Other than that I’d avoid. Fırat G, İşletme Sahibi at Hotel Bleu Nuit, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our team is always striving to improve the quality of both our rooms and facilities, and your comments are very valuable to us in this process. We would like to clarify that all room photos on our official website and booking platforms are recent and represent the actual room categories. Our housekeeping team provides daily cleaning service with fresh towels, and we regularly monitor hygiene standards in all common areas and restaurants. Nevertheless, we take your feedback seriously and will ensure additional checks are carried out immediately to maintain cleanliness and food presentation standards.Regarding entertainment and food options, we are currently reviewing our all-inclusive program to provide a wider variety of drinks and a more engaging daytime experience for our guests. We are glad that you were satisfied with our location and room cleanliness, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future to provide a more positive experience.Kind regards,Hotel Management

    Hotel Blue Nuit honest review

    rating09 Aug 2025

Well firstly if your Turkish this is just the hotel for you, however,if you're English or another nationality forget it. 98% of the residents are Turkish so the hotel only caters for music for Turkish people and there is no English music whatsoever. The entertainment team will only approach you if you're Turkish, othewise you don't get to speak to them and what they do I have no idea, except walk around and around, as for entertainment that was non existent apart from two times in 12 days, when they brought in a dance troupe and a contortionist. The rooms are nice although small but there is enough room for two single beds and a bit of space on ether side of each bed, so that's not too bad However, you do get a fridge and there is a safe in the wardrobe, although strangely it's not fixed to the wall, so if you've put your belongings in someone could easily walk in, pick up the safe and walk out the door When we first came the air conditioning seemed to work fine for four days, getting extremely cold, but we arrived in the middle of the night. However, after the fifth day and during the day the aircon was insufficient to cope with 32° of heat in Gumbet, so consequently it was unable to provide extremely cold air, so you can expect a temperature of about 24° in your room, as it only blew warm air, but then during the night you would think that as the temperature had dropped it would be cooler, but no, it continued to blow warm air.The engineer came out and replaced a part but still we only had warm air. Went back to reception and he said the engineer said had it was fine and it might be due to the outside temperature. However, the restaurant had two air conditioning units and on 9th of August it was 40° c and they continued to blow cold air. However the room we were number in number 112 continued to blow warm air only. The shower is lovely and strong and there is a small soap wash device in the shower and by the sink, so that's more than adequate. There is only one wardrobe so if you have a lot of clothes forget it or bring your own. The cleaner and bar staff were excellent. Now to the food it seems the chef is only capable of cooking chicken because you don't get anything else. You will get chicken breast in some form of sauce together with greasy big chips or greasy big roast potatoes In addition you may get chicken steaks or something similar. There is a salad bar which is quite plentiful and the sweets they provide are mainly little squares of cake which are all very similar although now and again they do a blamancher, which is quite nice, but they seem to limit how many they put out as you only usually get about five put out, so unless you're early you won't get one. I did chat via WhatsApp before booking and they told me there was chicken lamb and beef available and also kebabs. However, this was not the case!!Breakfast consists of boiled eggs, possible potato chips again and some ham and pasta. There is plenty of red melon and some apples together with different types of cereal and milk is available only at breakfast time. For drinks you can get orange, pineapple and some other drinks together with ice cold water a selection of cappuccino or hot chocolate and Turkish tea which you need to water downTurning to the alcohol situation EFES is on tap and you can get fanta orange, pepsi cola, and sprite and they also serve vodka, raki, whisky and gin but no cocktails. The hotel is situated on a bottom road and just across the way is a nice restaurant which does good burgers and other stuff and then if you walk a bit further on to the left you walk down and about 100 yards down is the beach and there's a few shops there. If you come out of the hotel and turn immediately right and walk up, it's about 5 minutes walk, and then there is another street which has various restaurants bars and clothes and other shops. As a place to sleep, if your air con works you are in look, would I stay again? Definitely NOT. Fırat G, İşletme Sahibi at Hotel Bleu Nuit, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. All inclusive Family Stay in Gumbet, Bodrum. Mixed views on the Hotel Bleu Nuit Hotel.

    rating08 Jul 2025

Checked in for a 4 night stay on the 3rd of July in the Superior rooms x 3 for 6 guests. At check in they give us keys to the annexe rooms, superior rooms are in the main building, I knew this from a previous stay. They said sorry and told me the Superior rooms would be ready in 2 days. These were then given to us, 2 were fine, 1 larger room did not have functioning air conditioning, the technician could not fix it. With the average temperature around 34 degrees, A/C was a necessity, after much arguing, we were given another room to sleep in on the final night. So, for one group of 2, we had 3 room changes in 4 days. The rooms were cleaned regularly and housekeeping was great. Now to the good part. The staff are all lovely, not many speak english, but use google translate to assist you. Not many Europeans stay at this hotel. It was mostly Turkish holidaymakers. The food is good and wholesome, but catered totally towards the Turkish clientele. If this would be a concern, then consider your options. I enjoyed it and was happy to try out different food.Overall, very well located, short walk to beach and local shops/restaurants/entertainment. I would stay again but would try to confirm my exact room in advance. I booked direct with the hotel via website and conversed via email & whatsapp. Fırat G, İşletme Sahibi at Hotel Bleu Nuit, responded to this review Bleu Nuit Hotel Resmi Yanıtı:Dear Guest,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us at Bleu Nuit Hotel Bodrum. We sincerely apologize for the initial inconvenience regarding your room allocation and the air conditioning issue. So many drawbacks - can't imagine how this hotel gets perfect reviews

    rating06 Jul 2025

Main things that were a huge disappointment:1. Horrible noise at night. The hotel is surrounded by bars and night clubs which blast music until 5 am. 4 am if you are lucky. I slept less than 2 hours the first night. We bought ear plugs later which helped but to a certain degree only. I was so exhausted by the 3rd day that I was dozing off by the pool during daytime.2. Some of the staff is absolutely unhelpful. When we asked to change the rooms after the first night (we figured that maybe it would be at least a bit less noisy in the back of the hotel since we were given a room in the front), the lady at the reception said that they can't do anything about the noise (that I get - the hotel is where it is, you can't move it) and that she can't guarantee anything. I am inclined to believe that there actually were free rooms when we asked because the number of people we could see at the pool or the restaurant increased significantly only on about the 5th day of our stay. The receptionist clearly just couldn't be bothered. When we asked if there is a pharmacy nearby so that we could buy earplugs, she just replied "Google it".3. The (standard) room was poor. I could let some things slide as we usually spend very little time in the room anyway; however, the noise was horrible so we couldn't rest properly at night. The window didn't close properly - we would find it open everytime, so we had no chance to block the noise at least a bit. Plus, the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The drain in the shower was installed higher than the floor so the floor got flooded every time we took a shower. There was no water (so no showering / washing your hair / brushing your teeth) one evening and two mornings. On several other occasions, there was no hot water, just cold. We had trouble storing our clothes as there was a wardrobe but it had only 1 shelf and 3 hangers + a couple of tiny cupboards. So basic requirements for a room were not met: impossible to sleep at night, no guarantee that you'll be able to keep yourself clean and hard to store your things in a tidy manner. Cleaning was also practically non-existent - the housekeeping merely took out the trash every day, replaced the bath mats (as they were drenched from the leaking shower) a couple of times and replaced the towels once. One day they didn't even show up to take out the trash.4. Food was a huge disappointment as well. There was very little variety. Breakfast was a total disaster, the same thing every morning, no sweet pastries, pancakes, yoghurt or at least decent cereal. For lunch and dinner - 5 trays of hot meals; however, rice, potatoes and perhaps some steamed vegetables count as individual dishes so in reality there was one chicken and one ground beef (I suppose) dish which differed in shape but not in taste every time. What was good about the hotel? The AC worked well and wasn't noisy, the guys at the bar were friendly and would make any simple cocktail (besides the two that were offered) if you asked. The pool was small but nice. All in all, did we manage to get the best out of the circumstances? Yes, we did. Would we come back? Definitely no. It's a budget hotel (and not 4 stars, in my opinion) and we didn't even pay that cheap for it. Totally not worth it. Fırat G, İşletme Sahibi at Hotel Bleu Nuit, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review regarding your stay. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience at our hotel did not meet your expectations. We would like to address your feedback point by point:Location & Noise:Our hotel is indeed located in the heart of Gümbet, one of Bodrum’s most vibrant nightlife areas. While this offers easy access to local entertainment, we understand that it may not suit every traveler’s preference. We do our best to inform our guests in advance and offer rooms at the back side of the hotel upon availability, but we regret that a suitable alternative could not be provided during your stay.Staff Communication:We are very disappointed to hear about the interaction you had with our front desk. Our team is trained to offer assistance in a respectful and helpful manner. We will follow up with the staff member involved and take corrective action, as your experience does not reflect our service standards.Room Conditions & Housekeeping:Your feedback on the room maintenance and cleanliness is taken very seriously. We apologize for the technical issues you encountered and any inconvenience caused. The water issue you mentioned was due to a temporary municipal supply interruption, which affected our entire area—however, we understand the frustration this may have caused.Food & Beverage:While we aim to provide satisfying and varied meals, it’s clear from your feedback that we fell short during your stay. Your comments have been shared with our kitchen team, and we are currently reviewing our menu and presentation standards. On a positive note, we’re glad to hear that you appreciated the air conditioning, our bar staff, and the pool area. Still, we deeply regret that your overall experience did not reflect the level of quality we strive to offer.Your review helps us identify areas for improvement and we sincerely thank you for it. Should you reconsider staying with us in the future, we would welcome the opportunity to offer you a much-improved experience.Kind regards,Bleu Nuit Hotel Bodrum – Guest Relations
