    Fabulous family friendly resort on the beach

    We recently stayed at this lovely resort for 4 nights. Two families of four, each of us booked two villas side by side so that we could be near our children but have some space.The villas are perfect for a family stay - clean, large and with a small fridge. This is not a 5 star resort, but if you are after a comfortable, family stay, Sylvia fits the bill.We ate several meals at the restaurant and were very happy with the food. We also swam in the pools and they were lovely.The huge plus for this hotel is that it is on a swimmable beach. Plenty of resorts may be closer to the town center or look more upmarket, but very few have a beach like Sylvia. I personally overheard one family tell the restaurant staff that they had come from a much more expensive hotel, just so they could swim at the beach.That said, the hotel is no more than a 5 minute drive from the town centre and the hotel offers a shuttle service.We really enjoyed our time at the Sylvia and would very happily return. In fact, I probably wouldn't bother to look at any other options.

    These guys are frauds to say the least. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. We booked a suite here and on the day of arrival we even got in touch with them and booked an airport pickup. To which they complied and arranged for us. However, when we arrived at the resort after taking our passports and checking us in they, which took roughly half an hour. They inform us that the room we booked is already booked by another guest. I asked them why I wasn’t informed earlier while booking the airport transfer to which they just had a stunned look. It was my wife and I and they had the audacity to offer us two separate rooms for two nights to make up for the cost we paid. These rooms weren’t even joining rooms. There was no apology offered as well. After ranting for over an hour they finally issued a letter of refund which they have not honoured to date. I am back in Dubai and writing to them at first they used to respond and insisted that I speak to booking.com. Booking.com said they used Expedia. Expedia claimed there was another booking agent involved named Sghn travel based out of Singapore. These guys don’t answer their phones. In the end Sylvia hotel which should be doing the running around is simply ignoring my emails and WhatsApp messages. These guys are horrible and to be honest the room I saw when they were trying to get us to accept a lower tier room was just filthy. We ended up staying at Manjago Bay Resort which was amazing!!! SYLVIA RESORT IS A FRAUDULENT OPERATION!!!

    This resort is a fantastic choice if you're looking for an unforgettable getaway in Labuan Bajo! The rooms are impeccably clean, providing a cosy retreat after a day of adventure. Plus, there's a gorgeous beach right at your doorstep! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. While breakfast is decent, the stunning surroundings truly steal the show. Just keep in mind that this hotel is slightly distant from the city. So, if you're seeking a vibrant urban scene, this might not be the ideal spot for you. But if relaxation and natural beauty are what you crave, you’re in for a treat!

    The worst accommodation I have ever booked

    From the photos, it looked amazing, so we booked 1 nite in the 2 bed pool villa..This was an expensive booking, so we were expecting a 5 star 🌟 resort..We were so disappointed, the villa wasn't clean or secure anyone could enter with a key, doors were either stiff and couldn't close or couldn't open,Bed sheet had dead bugs on them.One room was full of mosquitoes, and we weren't given any protection. To be in the bathroom, u had to walk outside were mosquito's were everywhere..Now the bathroom Omg disgraceful. The show was so dirty, and when I turned water on, it smelt like sewerage, and then the water flooded the tiled floor. Which were slippery tiles.Tried the hand shower above bath.. all that came out was boiling hot water , could adjust the temp.. mean while in the bathroom, we were swamed by mosquitoes. This was the last straw packed up and left hotel for our own safety.Forgot broken floor tiles everywhere , another hazzard.I asked for a refund, which our booking agent is advising has been rejected.. where we headed to stay was 1 million times better, was only a fraction more.. Def the worst accommodation I have ever booked
