  Enjoyable budget hotel near Surabaya Pasar Turi station

  Aesthetic room. With nice pool, quite comfortable, but the location is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, hard to find food around.. but if you bring your own car, its comfortable to stay. Oh yeah parking lot its limited.

  We had a short but sweet stay in Kokoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and the pool was nice. The restaurant was always open and accommodated our vegan diet by changing a few things for us. We loved the old-timey aesthetic too.

  The is one of the best midrange hotel in subraya and the best I visited so far in Indonesia.the house keeping is par excellence.nthe reception girls are cute and very helpful. I was with my fly in room 521 and checked out in the morning on the 29th of May.the reception girl was very cheerful and helped us out without any hassles,even though the location is a bit away the food and service makes u want to come here.My thumb's up to the hotel staff for Keeping the hotel going even in this competition in Surabaya ..Hats off to the hotel staff again.

  Room was nice, with good aircon. Lobby and reception staff welcoming.Bathroom well setup though tap came off on shower (issue as spraying hot water at the time), and sink tap was loose. Nothing a spanner / glue wouldn’t sort.Breakfast was below average - we got there at 9:30 (10AM close), and everything cold or empty. Not the end of the world to have cold to semi-warm rice and noodles, but…Pool looked very good though didn’t use.Nothing massively wrong and might be more a 4* review but the bottom line is - would you stay again and I’m not sure I would, so 3*

  Quaint heritage hotel

  We stayed in a quaint historical hotel on our 2nd leg Surabaya tour.The heritage building was used to be the wooden matchsticks factory dated since 1928 and had been renovated to meet modern hotel standard. We like our rooms in terms of its size, cool aircon, amnenities (too bad no mini fridge) and the worth it price. We love the ground floor where The Arch bistro is located. So beautiful and pleasing the eyes.It is located in chinatown area that quite busy during day time but so dark and quiet when the evening falls. Although we don’t like its tiny parking spaces and slow service (from kitchen staff) during breakfast and dinner, but basically we enjoyed our stay.It is recommended also if you don’t mind being waking up in the middle of the night (up tp dawn) because suddenly hearing unexplainable noises of moving furnitures upstais and someone’s whistling down the corridors - while when we check it out, no one’s there. It was one of a lifetime experience indeed!
