    Your best option in Tarakan

    rating14 Oct 2025

Stayed for one night whilst transferring from Malaysian Sabah to Indonesian Kalimantan. It did most things pretty well. Try to get a room away from the nonstop Indonesian traffic. The rooms were a bit tired, food was ok, pool looked alright for a splash, vast breakfast - but we had a plane to catch. Very much a business hotel Herna Rey, Layanan Tamu/Resepsionis at Swiss-Belhotel Tarakan, responded to this review Dear Madam & SirWarm Greetings from Swiss-Belhotel TarakanThank you for your review. From your review, we conclude that our service is excellent. We look forward to your next business visit or vacation with us.RegardsManagement

    Terrible bed

    rating20 Feb 2025

In general the hotel was ok, although it was slightly overpriced. The significant issue I had was the standard of bed that was provided. I travel for two months a year and stay in accommodation ranging from backpackers to five star hotels, but the bed in this hotel was by far the worst I have struck for years. It sagged permanently in the middle and meant that when i woke in the middle of the night i had a terrible headache from my curved spine. I couldn't sleep after that. My friend's bed was ok. The management are aware of the problem, and have started replacing the beds (starting in the more expensive rooms). In my mind there is no way that any hotel should have offered that bed to a guest. If you do stay there, i suggest you carefully check the standard of the bed you are being offered. Herna Rey, Layanan Tamu/Resepsionis at Swiss-Belhotel Tarakan, responded to this review Dear Pak AndrewWarmest Greeting from Swiss-Belhotel TarakanThank you for submitting your comment. We always appreciate every comment to develop better services for our guests. As previously confirmed to you that the bed has been replaced with a new one.We will check and see it in the room where you are staying. Thank you for staying. Greetings Management
