    Okay but a little dated.

    rating22 May 2026

Fourth time we’ve stayed at this hotel and to be honest it’s getting a bit dated. Our room on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the river was comfortable. However if you pay for a balcony surely there should be some furniture to sit on?Also the fridge didn’t work.No complaints whatsoever about the staff who were all very pleasant. We didn’t eat here so cannot pass comment. We paid £220 a night on a room only basis and for what we got thought it a bit steep.

Not often that I review on this but I felt that I needed to on account of my experience there. Room was expensive and to be honest just not great. Somewhere between one and two stars is what I was thinking so I gave a generous two....... Anyway would I recommend this place, honestly I would not..... Maybe I got the runt of the rooms but apart from the location, have a look elsewhere I think

    Beautiful hotel

    rating11 May 2026

I stayed here this week for one night with my boyfriend; the hotel was stunning and the room immaculate. It’s in such a great location near the train station and very central. We just wanted to mention how lovely Emma at reception was as we arrived a couple of hours early and she managed to get us an early check in. She was so lovely and a great member of the reception team. Would highly recommend this hotel Xx

    Interesting Mix

    rating28 Apr 2026

This hotel has a lot going for it. It’s in a great lot, has a very good and helpful staff, the rooms are huge as is the bath, and the shower is very good. The things one needs to be aware of are that while the breakfast is good and well run, the rest of the food service seems spotty. We checked with the hotel when we arrived at 11:30 to see if we could get some food. They told us they didn’t serve during the day. The next evening we went into the bar to get a snack and were told they were busy with an event and were not serving food. Bottom line, we never found a time they served food, so be aware. Second, the bathroom commodes are comically low; I would estimate 16” off the floor. Our group has done a great deal of travel, and have never experienced anything like it with the exception of places that had a simple hole in the floor.

Paid alot of money to stay in a cold room with a draft while ill with an ill child

    rating10 Apr 2026

Booked a room for myself and my child, both of us were ill. I asked for a wheelchair as my child was weak and i could not carry them and I was told this could not be accomadated but I was welcome to bring my own.Checked into our room which had a balcony, the door had a gap in it and the wind was howling through and it was cold. I called to ask to change rooms and instead I was brought up a heater that barly worked.I asked for room service for breakfast, it came an hour later cold.I paid 4 euro for a cup of tea in the restaurant. The only highlight of this room was the shower.Genuinely very disappointed for the amount of money I spent.I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone.
