We would like to express our sincere appreciation for Alket, who is an outstanding member of your team at Ballyroe Lodge. Every time our family visits, he goes above and beyond to ensure we have a wonderful experience. His impeccable service, professionalism, and genuine kindness never go unnoticed. He consistently makes us feel welcome and valued, and his attention to detail is exceptional. It is because of people like Alket that we continue to return to Ballyroe Lodge time after time.We have recommended the hotel to anyone who will listen, and Alket's outstanding service is a huge part of that recommendation. He is a true credit to your establishment, and we hope he receives the recognition he so thoroughly deserves.Fitzgerald family

    Short break away

    rating23 May 2026

Enjoyed our 2 night break at ballyroe lodge. It was so quiet and peaceful with only 10 minutes drive from Tralee town. Plenty of parking. The view from the breakfast room was lovely. Bedroom and bathroom was spotless and spacious, tea and coffee in the room. Didn't like the bed as it was too soft not great for the back

    We'd stay here again!

    rating23 May 2026

Booked it thinking it was a B&B, so were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a full-works hotel! (Must check these things ...) We stayed here for a night, and were tried after a long day so decided to have an evening meal here too. We were very happy with the quality and quietness of the room, and the food at dinner and at breakfast was excellent. One of the evening waiters was a bit abrupt initially, but I don't think they meant to be. Otherwise faultless. Glad we chose it, and we wished other places we stayed at later on were as good value.

    Terrible stay, poor management

    rating21 May 2026

Very disappointing stay.On arrival, the receptionist checking us in was repeatedly cursing while trying to find our room key. Once in the room, we discovered the sink was blocked and the bathroom door was broken. Both issues were reported immediately but nothing was resolved.Things got worse when our room flooded while we were out, despite us already reporting the blocked sink beforehand. Ironically, there was also no running water in the hotel that day due to a reported council issue. We had agreed to move our own belongings, however staff moved all of our personal items before we returned. We were then moved to what was essentially a staff room because the hotel was fully booked. The room wasn’t properly set up, no toiletries, kettle, working tv, etc. Most disappointing was that no manager seemed willing to speak to us directly during the stay despite us asking multiple times. After everything that happened, management felt that refunding one night out of our two night stay (for sleeping in what was essentially a staff room) was sufficient compensation for everything.Pelin at reception was the only staff member who seemed genuinely apologetic and helpful.Overall, a very stressful and poorly handled experience.
