Location

This hotel is located at the heart of Killarney within a few minutes’ walk of the Demense national park. A cinema, Killarney’s shopping outlet centre, bus and train stations are to be found within the near vicinity.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1900. Guests have a choice of 3 junior suites, 21 suites, 5 single rooms and 61 double rooms located in a 2-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception desk are on hand round the clock to assist guests with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, fishing and horse riding. Water sports enthusiasts are offered canoeing. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, billiards and callisthenics. A spa and a sauna are available in the wellness area. Entertainment options and leisure facilities include an entertainment programme and live music.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast gives guests many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte or choose a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Perfect Stay in Downtown Killarney

    We had a wonderful stay at International Hotel Killarney. We loved that it was right downtown and within walking distance to all the fabulous sites. The food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar were all really great also! The only thing to note, there is no AC in the rooms, but they did provide fans to make it a bit more comfortable. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel on your next trip!

    My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The location is perfect for access to restaurants and all the sights in this area. We appreciated help from the front desk for all our questions. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast at the hotel. Our room felt private and quiet. We appreciated the curtains that made the room dark (helpful for sleeping). Beds were comfortable. There is no onsite parking, but there are options nearby. We would stay here again.     The best service we have ever experienced, at a table for seven people for dinner tonight. Brendan was just brilliant, along with all other staff we encountered.
