I feel as though a lot of people live in this hostel and if I was a traveller alone it's not really the place I'd want to be.It's clean and great spaced rooms, well set out with the separate room with the bathroom. I was on a tour so all our group where in our rooms so we didn't need to worry about anyone else. There are cages under the bed to lock your stuff up if needed which is really handy, the price I think it's quite good. The kitchen and sitting area are huge, maybe needs more fridge space though.. They were chocker block full all of them. For me unless I was with another tour or a big group I wouldn't stay here again, only because I like to be in the centre of everything. There are heaps of junkies about Dublin and I think near this hostel is a place that gives care packages out so a few in the area, not sure they would do anything as I walked to and from the hostel at night a few times and nothing happened, it was intimidating and a little off putting though. All in all with a few friends I'd recommend it. You can byo also, an added bonus... Staff were really good!

Quite a basic hostel for what you're paying for but not too bad - Dublin overall is expensive! Pros:- Beds have a plug (and USB plugs but not sure if they work as my phone didn't charge on the morning of my flight) and light each.- There is a hairdryer with a charge in the room, but reception have their own which you can use upon leaving your I.D. - Light breakfast is provided - no hot options or fruit. - Good location for tourism but has a lot of unpleasant locals hanging around the buildings adjacent to it (obviously out of the hostel's control). - Staff at reception are good and helpful. - Luggage storage is provided which is locked.- Free WiFi.- Good security with passes and staff present and inspecting everyone 24hrs at reception. Cons:- Room was freezing even when several people complained, nothing was changed.Radiator was poor and wind was coming through the windows.- Poor pillows and covers very thin which adds to the cold. Mattress - average but expected. Beds had no curtain or anything so no privacy, but again expected. - Beds are old so very noisy and the under bed storage is also very noisy and doesn't always have a lid and a space for a lock. - Price !! I paid the same for two nights in the week as one night at the weekends (approx. £28 vs £26).

Bad stay! - Condense you to fill there rooms

    rating28 Oct 2019

Noisy elevator shaft going all hours of the night , leaking hot water tap continues running all night , showers on push button seconds only timer They advertise empty rooms but condense you to fill them even if it says 4 available in a 4 bedroom room! Staff were incredibly rude (saying we don’t want to clean another room) I really hated this hostel . One of the worst while on my travels

    Good Location, Average stay!

First of all location of this place was great. However, room was quite congested but that's not the thing which pisses off, staff who was clearing breakfast was so in hurry to clear the buffet that she went removing food from the other end noticing people were still taking food. No courtesy at all, when asked her she pointed out the breakfast timings mentioned on the wall. All the guests including me felt like beggars. Staff at the reception was good.
