  Worst hotel claiming to 4 star with a experience of a 2 star

  Possibly the worst sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel.The floor was visibly dirty — you could actually see the white bits of fluff on the ground. The shower was horrific aswell scaled straight away. As soon as we opened the secured door to the rooms, there was an immediate and very strong smell of cannabis. There was two drunk lads trying to get to there room they said it was 318 we where 303. One of the was very load and intimateing. I genuinely don’t understand how no alarm was triggered given how strong the smell was of the smoke from the weed. You don't need to be a sniffer dog the drunk guy even said oh someone is getting very high.The staff on reception didn't check the guys struggling to get in either.We checked in late only to be told there was no room available, despite booking weeks in advance. We were initially offered a room that was not what we had reserved. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, we were finally given the correct key. In hindsight, that should have been the warning sign of what was to come.If this is considered a 4-star hotel, it certainly did not feel or operate like one. In my opinion, the quality was closer to a 2-star experience at best.I normally give good reviews this I struggled to even post it. I wish it wasn't through but it was. It was 12am at night I was not going to complain. Next morning I just put my room key on the counter and walked out. I've never experienced something like this anywhere. Very disappointing.Left a review on Google. They messaged back to to email them. I've given it a week and not a dicky bird from them since.   Very nice stay. Accommodation, food, drink and lounge area were top notch. All employees were lovely to deal with and always had a smile. Will definitely stay again.   Nice hotel with a Crumlin Hospital special deal

  We stayed here because my son was going to Crumlin Hospital so it wasn't for leisure. Everything was good and it's a nice hotel, it is a few miles outside of the city and there is a petrol station with shop right next to it, which is great for getting snacks and fizzy drinks etc. It wasn't too costly for a taxi to Crumlin Hospital from there and it is probably the best hotel for those going to the hospital. They do a special rate for people going to Crumlin Hospital, phone the hotel for this, as it is not available on their site. The only downside of the hotel when we stayed was that the restaurant and the bar are in one room, that's fine in ordinary circumstances, but when it is a special occasion like around Christmas, workers will be out for their drinks party and the noise level can be very loud. I doubt that it is like loud that all the time, but there is a lobby there if you have children and the restaurant is noisy with work parties, perhaps insist on seating in the lobby area. I am sure that the restaurant/bar isn't normally as loud as we found it. I wouldn't recommend the risotto, it was more like baby food. Overall, it is a fine hotel, the front of it is behind the petrol station, so we were very slightly confused whether to drive into the petrol station, but no you don't, there is a road just next to the petrol station, it's a little hard to see until you come upon it, so don't drive into the petrol station. It was decorated very nicely for Christmas and we went the first week in December. They had a few nice Christmas things around if you have a stroll around. The staff are nice.
