    Great Stay

    rating28 Apr 2026

We arrived at the hotel just after 12 noon and they had a room ready for us, which was a great surprise. The room had everything you could need for your stay and was lovely and clean. We had lunch in the restaurant, the food was quick to arrive, and very tasty, the member of staff that served us was the highlight. He was so accommodating and very friendly, he even double checked to make sure my meal was Gluten free, unfortunately I didn’t get his name. Nothing was too much trouble. Only a 20 minute walk to the city centre. We would stay here again.

    Ok but wouldn’t return

This property was ok - just ok.The staff all seem very unhappy in their roles generally - only smile I saw was one day at breakfast from the lovely gentleman seating us. Breakfast was a let down - the food was cold / had a skin on / few vegetarian options. Just not great. Day one I only had toast, day 2 I didn’t bother. The rooms although similar to the photos aren’t to the high standard the photos make you think they are. Lovely large bathroom but the shower tray was too shallow so leaked all over the floor. Disappointing stay.

Perfect for a corporate stay, disappointingly bland.

Stayed here for five nights, on a business trip. This is definitely a corporate hotel and not for the leisure traveller. The bedrooms are fictional, with all the necessary features. My bedroom was large, on the ground floor. Had to keep my curtains closed every evening so neighbours couldn’t look in. Can’t lie, the welcome at the reception desk when I arrived was pretty cold, so much so that I wondered if I should go to another hotel. Then to be told my room was in the pits of the ground floor… Thankfully the breakfast staff were lovely, welcoming and remembered me each morning. The bar area is effectively the same as the breakfast area, with functional chairs that don’t really invite you to relax into them. Again, functional and corporate. I stay in Dublin hotels often and I’m not sure I’ll be returning to this one, given a choice.

    Centrally located on Southside

Very happy with my overnight stay. Both myself and my sister booked a standard double room but we both had very different layouts and yet we were very happy. The mattress was comfortable and extra pillows supplied for the bed (I always check) The tea station fully stocked, storage was immense with plenty of hangers and the windows were doubled for sound proofing as my room was on the main room. The bathroom was compact but as I was on my own this was fine and the shower had a great rain head. The staff were polite and helpful. The location is perfect for walking to the Bord Gais or city centre. The very minor downside was the parking. The carpark has a security gate which reception must open. I was advised it is monitored by cctv to watch for guests but on entry and exit I had to ring for access. After I advised reception on check out that I would be going straight to my car and would require the gate be opened I still had to google the phone number while trying to exit to ask that the gate be opened.
