    Overrated hotel, unprofessional management

    rating02 May 2026

We came here to stay for 3 nights while visiting the city, and I wish we had went elsewhere. I will start on a positive note by saying that the lobby area is beautiful. Other than that, there’s nothing modern about the hotel as described. I felt a lot of hostility from the reception’s manager; which also seemed the case for other guests who had to deal with him. The bedrooms were a disappointment, we found it was very noisy in our room also. The carpet was gross, which was probably a result of how shabby and outdated this hotel is. The breakfast was unfortunately another let down. We actually left our plates and went to find a café, which again, was a nightmare because of the strange location of the hotel. It’s situated directly on the side of a main road. There’s very little in walking distance to it, which should be specified more clearly. We ended up getting a lot more taxis than we had bargained for.I won’t be back here, and I advise all travelers coming to Dublin to explore their options thoroughly before booking this place. It was terrible value for the money, pretentious, avoid.I overheard about a work van that had been broken into, which judging by the manager’s reaction, seemed to have not been the first time this has happened. If you boast a free car park as one of your only perks, I’d at least hope that it would be monitored.
