Facility

The hotel was built in 1863. 114 non-smoking rooms, including 14 junior suites and 2 suites, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Perfectly located near Pearse Station and Merrion Square in an elegant and walkable part of Dublin. One block away from the National Gallery, and a few further steps away from Dawson and Grafton Streets. Elegant atmosphere, but still with friendly and active energy. My room served my needs excellently, with a writing desk, two lounge chairs and a round table; perfectly "zoned". The tea/fridge station was well stocked, and staff provided whatever I needed. The hotel is spotless throughout. Staff service was exemplary from the moment I checked in - bringing my bags to the room, providing answers for several questions. The breakfast buffet was very well done with a wide variety of well prepared hot and cold options. Food service staff were attentive and responsive. The only letdown was that the advertised spa was not yet open; however staff recommendations provided me with excellent options.

    We were allowed to check in early. Considering how jet-lagged we were, this was no small consideration. On our return to Dublin, we stayed at the Davenport again. The staff left us a box of chocolates in our room to welcome us back. A nice touch!

    The Davenport is a beautiful hotel located in a great spot in the City. Walking distance to so many places but out of the way enough that it doesn't make you feel harried as soon as you step outside. The staff have been incredible! Very helpful and kind. Would stay here again!
