Old place, budget and friendly staff! Location!! I would stay again

    rating22 Aug 2020

The building is old. I was a bit uneasy first, but then, room were small but super clean, beds clean. My family and I never got a chance to have breakfast there, but the shared kitchen was also very clean. My room (for 4) had a private bathroom. The place needs improving, but the friendly staff made up for the place. This hostel accommodates people of all paths and ages, even entire families like mine. (2 teens). The huge plus is that it is central located, you don't need any type of transportation to move around Dublin, you can walk anywhere from the hostel. Another plus is that the Doyles Pub is just below, you can drink and roll up to your room. :)In a 9 countries Europe Tour this hostel ended up being the most fun places of all the places we stayed. #irishcharm

Good...Friendly desk staff.Easy check in.Left luggage in secure area.Clean room and linen.Free towel.Bad...Room was fcuking freezing, like arctic cold.Blinds were half pulled down from bathroom window, the whole of Dublin could see you coming out of the shower or at stool.Repairs needed in one or two spots, towel and bucket was placed in middle of corridor to catch water from ceiling.

    Good location

Location of the hostel is great. Everything is at walking distance. We stayed with 5 persons in a 6 personroom with bunkbeds. Everybody is complaining about the noise but we didn't hear it. Breakfast was terrible only dry bread with butter and honey. Price of the rooms is so so there are probally cheaper hotels with decent breakfast. But to Explorer the city and party at temple bar It's a perfect place.

    Nice location...

Well, it’s not the best hostel I’ve ever been, in fact I’m not a Hostel Expert but this one was a little bit noisy and if you travel with large luggage you will remember the Upstairs and Downstairs. On the opposite Corner, the location is the best, by far. You can do everything on foot. Tip: Don’t use your car in Dublin.

    Soundproof Windows Required

    rating08 Oct 2019

This hostel is in a great location. It's near Trinity College and loads of other attractions. The problem is that you can hardly get a wink of sleep because there's no way to block out the screaming on the streets, especially when the drunk kids spew out the pub doors. It's a problem with many places in Dublin. They should install a ventilation system to help you to breath and also install soundproof windows. The owner makes a fortune on this place; it's time for a renovation!
