    Very basic. Clean Budget friendly

    rating09 Nov 2020

The hotel was close to the bus stop, airport, roads. Restaurant on-site, The rooms were small, reminded me of a Microtel. The beds were comfy, clean. Basic. Staff was helpful in answering our millions questions and maps available. Next time we will pay a little more for something bigger (normal size in the states). Eoin Walsh, General Manager at Travelodge Dublin Phoenix Park, responded to this review Dear CrAzYfUnFaMiLy247,Thank you for reviewing our hotel. We are pleased to read that you found our hotel to be clean and our staff friendly. Also we are pleased to see our location suited you as it was close to the airport and public transport. I was ring fenced (my money £772.00 held for 8 days) and NO! booking either

    rating26 Jun 2020

I tried to book a 3 night stay at this hotel (£180.72), during the online booking process it blocked over £722.00 on my card and a further £903.72 was attempted again within 3 days. There was no booking on the system, I was unable to contact anyone without calling a costly telephone numbers and had to wait 8 days with only £50 left in my bank account before I could gain access to the rest of my money! I also had to borrow money from friends to pay for alternative accommodation, What a rip off. Apparently, from what I’ve read this isn't the only time this has happened. A very interesting fact I found out my transaction coincided with a date that the tax returns for the company were done? coincident? I don't think so! Just beware how safe your transaction is! before booking, I personally would go with a more reliable hotel chain. What annoyed me the most is that they didn't even care about the severe disruption this caused to people's lives! If anyone wants proof from me, my bank, tax files Travelodge that were submitted, just let me know!

    Aged and Overpriced

    rating26 Mar 2020

Stayed our first night in Ireland as the location was conveniently off the main north-south highway. On arrival, the staff at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly. The building and room we had have seen better days and when you stick to the carpet in your room and have to wear shoes, you have to wonder. Although convenient, I found the price per night somewhat expensive as I later paid €10 per night more for a four-star hotel near the airport. EoinWalsh98, Receptionist at Travelodge Dublin Phoenix Park, responded to this review Dear Chris A,Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are pleased to read that you found our location to be ideal for you and that our staff were kind and helpful to you. You can find the best prices by booking direct with Travelodge.ie. Please don't listen to very unfair negative reviews.

    rating15 Mar 2020

Really great place to stay for a family. Staff 10/10, restaurant 10/10, room value for money and room cleanliness 10/10. Please ignore the negative reviews, I genuinely cannot see where these entitled people are coming from, if you want to pay 3* prices don't expect 5* luxury. The TL Phoenix Park ticked all the boxes for my family. Thank you, Alina, Raphella, Joyce, Sergio and all the team for a lovely stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on my trips back to Dublin.
