    Great location but…..

We stayed here for only 2 nights last week after a few days inland near Frascati. Nettuno is a very nice little resort and very Italian. This hotel is perfectly located on the seafront opposite the harbour, with the beach a stone’s throw away and the town centre just a few minutes stroll away. I’d booked a sea view room with a balcony. The room was ok - comfortable and reasonably furnished. Bathroom was also ok, except that the shower fixture was coming away from the wall. The balcony however is tiny, too small to sit outside even if there had been any furniture to do so! Also there were functions going on at the hotel both nights so access to the top floor terrace was not possible. No discount was offered for this. Be aware that if you’re in a car, parking is difficult especially at weekends, and costs €1 euro per hour on the front. Luckily we found a space up a side street which was free. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Finally the breakfast. This was unfortunately the worst breakfast we’ve had in a very long time, travelling all over Europe to Greece, Turkey, Spain, Holland and other places in Italy. Very limited choice with only one type of cheese (tasteless), bacon dripping in fat, rotting fruit and terrible coffee (very un-Italian). Also there was a very strange service where one had to ask for the coffee and any extras like eggs. The staff were helpful but there were only 2 of them. Nettuno is a lovely authentic little place but if we return we’d probably choose a different hotel.

    Excellent setting

Was alittle concerned about staying here after some of the reviews but woukd definitely go back. Yes the room is slightly dated, but it is so clean, bed made every day, towels changed and floor swept....very immaculate and has everything you need (no kettle if you like that)The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is served upstairs....continental breakfast but they serve freshly cooked eggs, bring drinks to the table and very friendly The hotel is a 5 minute walk to an amazing beach, 5 minutes to the train station, 1 hour train journey to the center of Rome.....excellent! The village has loads of lovely places to eat, especially if you are a fish lover. There was bands playing on the streets a couple of nights. It had a very lovely feel The only downside was the lack of information of any local places of interest. The hotel staff couldn't tell you what bus you might get, the tourist information didn't appear to speak any other language except Italian! We did walk to the local village..45 minute walk which was also lovely I'd definitely go back to this village...

Paid for a delux room with sea view Room very clean , staff very friendly and accommodating & breakfast was excellent, plentiful with international buffet including fresh fruit which was delicious Negative staying here : no allocated parking places for this hotel , no free mini bar - everything you drank from mini bar you had to pay extra for , no complimentary slippers, no kettle/ coffee maker in room ( although you can ask for a kettle at reception) , dated decor, no double glazing so some noise from the street if you have sea facing room

Lovely hotel, central location, friendly staff

Location is fab, right on the seafront overlooking the harbour. AirCon is a bit mental it comes on when you are out, so best to leave a key-card in the room - so the air con stays off... otherwise its a fridge. Beautiful Weather in Nettuna in September. Lovely shower and big bathroom.. Room cleaned daily with big fluffy fresh towels. The staff in the hotel are friendly and very hard working. I would stay here again if i was travelling to Nettuno again but would get a room with a balcony. Its an hour and 10 minutes from Rome so a great spot to stay in if you want a beach and historic holiday. The restaurant is closed in September, so only breakfast available. A lot of places in Nettuno are closed in September or some open on a sunday. I have to say the Beach is not clean and i dont think it was cleaned even once while we were there. There does seem to be some sort of strike or problem as Rome was full of piles of trash, so maybe it was the time we visited.

great visit close to everything in Nettuno

What a fabulous bargain! The personnel, especially Roberta and Marco, were very helpful and knowledgeable (and spoke English). They helped us in so many ways. The rooms with balconies were well-appointed, clean, easily reached by elevator and spacious. The breakfast on the 5th floor was incredibly good. Table service for coffee and omelets plus a great selection of cereals, fruit, juices and meats/cheeses. great location right across from the beach and easy access to the 'old town'.
