  This review is more than well deserved for the true masters of customer service at Albergo Miramare.Our 6-night stay was absolutely unforgettable from beginning to end. From the very first greeting by the bellman who carried our heavy luggage from the road to the hotel — we must say, he is truly the Hulk of all time!The warm welcome at the front desk from Carmela, Emanuela, Angela, and Lucio was simply exceptional. Every single one of them was so genuine, caring, and always ready to help make our stay flawless and memorable.The amazing restaurant staff — Lara and her wonderful team, Rosalba, Claudia, and Mussa — were always smiling and attentive, making the breathtaking views and dining experience feel beyond five stars.We also want to thank the incredible room attendants, whose attention to detail and kindness went far above expectations.Albergo Miramare, you are truly an amazing hotel, and your staff members elevate the entire experience to another level.   We enjoyed our stay at Albergo Miramare. Some small details could have made a difference however, e.g., there are plugs by both sides of the bed but both are Italian plug sockets, not the standard EU sockets so our adapters wouldn’t work here. There was no full length mirror in the whole room, the only mirror being in the bathroom. We had a huge balcony but this overlooked the pathway, whereas we thought our room would be seafront, especially as that is what we had paid for and what was shown in the images on Booking.com. I wish the images on the hotel sites were reflective of the actual room types. The breakfast was great, and the staff were really friendly.

  This beautiful property is perfectly located in the middle of Positano making it a perfect oasis to base yourself for all Positano has to offer. Staff are unbelievable and couldn’t be more helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious and the dining room is absolutely stunning. Worth every cent.

  It is always challenging to find accomodations for our family of 6, especially in Europe, so we were excited to find the apartment at the Albergo Miramare. We spent several delightful days there in July 2025 and it exceeded our high expectations. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well appointed, and there were gorgeous views from the master bedroom and the large terrace where we ended up spending a lot of our time. The hotel is well situated on the lower part of the Positano hills - while there are stairs to climb to get to the hotel from the main part of the town and beach, we found them very manageable and part of the Positano experience. At several points other travelers commented how lucky we were to be staying at that location as we entered the hotel and they continued their upward climb to places higher up. The breakfast buffet was delicious with varied options and served in a beautiful room overlooking the harbor. The staff was unfailingly polite and helpful, often anticipating our needs. Overall, a wonderful stay! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Positano.

  Great location but at a price

  Choosing a hotel in Positano comes down to three things: price, view, and how many steps you are willing to climb.The Hotel Miramare gets many things right- our room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the marina and sea, and the breakfast room has a spectacular seaside view as well, plus the included breakfast is very good.The hotel is above the harbor, slightly below the midpoint of the town. That means that there will be a lot of steps going back and forth to excursions at the port and to restaurants around town, but far less steps than if you stayed up near the top of the town.Steps here are no joke, much more strenuous than hill towns in Umbria or Tuscany, so location in town is a major consideration.Finally, Miramare is expensive- we paid over $1000 a night in June, but there are plenty of hotels here in Positano that charge $2000-$3000 a night or more in season.The staff was very professional and friendly, and using the porters are essential in getting your luggage to and from the hotel, as the hotel is not close to car access.Is it a $1000 a night a hotel? Elsewhere, definitely not, but in Positano, probably yes. We would definitely stay here again, but we also understand that when you decide to stay in Positano, a consideration like value more or less goes out the window.
