Experience of a life time to have stayed in wonderful hotel

What a fantastic hotel to cover everything you want in a holiday views out of this world must experience in real life as no photo can capture .Hotel have a shuttle bus to drop and pickup up so that's relaxing.lots of stairs so not the best if you have walking difficulties .Breakfast is a self service and is a mix of sweet and savoury . Staff are all lovely and will help with everything if you ask .Me and partner had a fantastic stay and it was great after a day exploring to return to the hotel for a peaceful relaxing night so delighted to have stayed in such a delightful hotel and hope to return one day .

An absolute gem on the Amalfi Coast

I never write reviews but feel I need to after our visit last week to this unique hotel. My daughter and I stayed for 7 nights. What can I say? The view from the room was absolutely stunning and the passageways and the restaurant in the cave … just wow. No words just wow. Vincenzo our host was magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble and we asked a lot of questions! He arranged a 4 hour private boat tour along the coast with Antonello which admittedly did cost a lot but it was a truly amazing and wonderful experience and tailored to what we wanted to see so I highly recommend. The hotel is remote but this means it is peaceful and serene at night and the free shuttle to Māori and back throughout the day was perfect and meant that you didn’t feel cut off: Franco the driver was fabulous, always on time and always had a huge smile. Italo …. so lovely, calm, patient and helpful; a thank you also to the lovely lady on breakfast service. The Beach club was great with towels, umbrella and sun beds. We had dinner in the restaurant twice. It was delicious in stunning surroundings with the cave lit up and my daughter still cannot stop talking about the carbonara that the amazing chef served!! If you want something different and totally unique you really must try this hotel. Yes, the air con isn’t the best and the room does smell fusty but it’s an old monastery in a cave so it can be totally forgiven when you realise what you are getting in return. If you want perfect air con and pristine surroundings go find a newer hotel but you will be missing out. I am not wowed often but this visit and the Amalfi coast in general totally took my breath away!

What a beautiful setting!My husband and I just got back from a long bank holiday break staying at a beautiful monastery setting.We stayed at the Badia Santa Maria with its unique rooms and dined on the terrace overlooking the sea under a cave ..how romantic.The staff are so welcoming and kind.A big thank you to Vincenzo (manager);Italio; Franco (driver) Francesco(chef) and lovely Lucia who not only cleaned our room but also washed and hung our swimwear (which were full of sand!!) Thank you Lucia ..you looked after us like an Italian Momma!!the only slight negative was lack of neutral places to relax/read but we were offered free shuttle service to nearest town Maiori and free entry including loungers and towels to Beach club in Maiori.A big Thanks again Shaz & Rob

Amazing Authentic Stay - Great Views, Great Food and Friendly People.

We had an amazing long weekend. It was like going back in time yet with some modern touches. The hotel is set in the side of a cliff and the restaurant in a real cave. The views from the bedrooms and the restaurant are dreamy. The beds were comfy, the air conditioning was welcomed and the shower was excellent. There were lots of small touches like drinks in the room, TV, hairdryer. We had a good breakfast every day and ate in the restaurant every night. It is really good value and we weren't easy being vegan. No menu, just ideas of what we might like. It was like having your own private chef. The shuttle bus went to town regularly and when we needed to go earlier we were accomodated. Two sunbeds were included at a local beach club. There was plenty to do in town and we hired a boat and went on the Lemon Tour. It was really authentic and the hospitality from the staff was lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Worth having Google translate handy. We look forward to another visit.

Majestic experience in maiori

Not only was this one of the most unique, amazing accomodations I've ever stayed in, the staff was amazing as well. From checking in and finding a place to park the car, to the basically private dining experience on the terrace in a cave overlooking the Amalfi coast, badia went above and beyond to make our time in maiori amazing. Even at check out, the asked what our plans were for the day and coordinated a place to park and a beach umbrella for us so that our beach day was amazing as well.
