No attempt to return my missing item

    rating26 May 2026

I had the misfortune of staying in this hotel as part of a conference I attended in April 2026. During my stay, the housekeeping staff took away an item of my clothing when they cleaned the room. When I realised, I spoke to the reception staff who told me that they could not check until after I left because the place that does the laundry was closed until Tuesday. I left my details for them to contact me. By the end of the following week, nobody had done so. I emailed them on 22.4.2026 asking if they had found my item and was told that they had contacted the laundry service several times but it had not been found. I said I was unhappy and wanted to make a complaint. At this point, Gianluigi emailed to say he had personally contacted the laundry service, my missing item had been found and he would arrange for it to be posted. That was on 23rd April and there is still no sign of my item today on 27th May 2026. I think this is unacceptable. I am willing to accept that nobody intended to steal my item, although it was brand new so maybe I am being too generous. What I am not willing to accept is that I have been lied to and ignored when the error which resulted in my losing this item was the hotel's error not mine. I am still waiting to find out how to make a complaint but I imagine that Gianluigi and the rest of the staff now just ignore anything that comes from me. There are other hotels in Salerno. My advice is to stay at one of those and give this one a wide berth.

Definitely Not a Four Star Property

    rating19 May 2026

This hotel might be first class by European standards, but would be 2-3 stars at best in the US. First the hotel sits next to a 24-hour a day shipyard. If you want to hear the water hitting the shore, forget it. They're unloading stuff all night. Second, our room I believe, had mold. Near the ceiling, there was something that looked liked mold. It was also on the floor near the shower door. Third, the hotel mentions a pool. You'll see that it doesn't appear to have been opened for some time. The hotel also has some weird floor numbers going on. We were on floor minus two. To get to the lobby we had to change elevators and go to floor zero or walk up four flights of stairs. The hotel needs a serious makeover. Weeds growing in the rain gutters, peeling paint all over the place, and the smallest shower I've seen in a hotel. Cruise ship showers are bigger. A lot of tours from the US seem to use this place because it can accommodate larger groups. But it's not very good.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL

    rating18 May 2026

Horrible hotel! Shower flooded, DANGEROUS—-room filled with mosquitoes, AND BED BUGS! Food service reheated food, Front desk very aloof, No AC! Loud parties Friday and Saturday nights until after 1:00AM FIREWORKS SOUNDED LIKE GUN SHOTS! Requested extra towels, was told the manager would not allow.

Location is good, older hotel with a lot of noise inside and out

    rating24 Mar 2026

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the town of Vietre Sul Mare. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel for an easy trip to Salerno. The hotel seems bus passes. Take bus 1,4 or 9 and use the same for return. Hotel is laid out strangely and it requires taking several different elevators to access the rooms, breakfast/dinner area and lobby. The floors are ceramic and the walls are very thin so you can hear everything from the hallways and neighboring rooms. The bed was too firm for us and the pillows were not comfortable. There is a refrigerator and hot pot provided for coffee or tea. Our air conditioning was not functioning and we were told by the staff to just turn it off and open the window. However, there is a very active shipping port next to the hotel. It’s loud with non stop activity. It’s interesting to watch the container ships being loaded and unloaded. Luckily once you close the window, that noise is gone.

Some great staff and Incredible Lemon Tour, but a Very Disappointing Hotel Stay

    rating22 Mar 2026

Carmine the host was excellent: warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout our stay and Marco the driver was just as great. The highlight of our trip was definitely the lemon tour. It was an amazing experience: we loved meeting the local owner and producer, learning about their craft, and even connecting with a friendly American group along the way. The passion and work that goes into running the lemon farm are truly impressive and made for a memorable outing.Unfortunately, the hotel itself didn’t live up to that standard at all. The walls were paper-thin, you could hear absolutely everything from neighboring rooms and there were noticeable maintenance issues, like screws coming loose from fixtures. The rooms felt very dated, with some furniture visibly worn or even rotting. The bed was also quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The one redeeming feature was the view, which was genuinely beautiful.Breakfast was decent in terms of variety, but the quality didn’t quite match expectations. To put it simply, we had originally booked multiple nights but ended up leaving after just one, forfeiting the remaining prepaid nights to stay somewhere else, which turned out to be a much better choice.Overall, while some staff and experiences outside the hotel were fantastic, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
