    We had room 19 which was large, comfortable and had a very nice deck with an ocean view. The views from the breakfast area were fantastic, and there were many options to chose from. The staff were very helpful in helping us figure out routes for hiking and dinner options. Definitely use the porters at the pier to bring your luggage. Putting the nearby Il Fornillo restaurant in your gps will save you stairs. The only odd thing for us was that the bathroom sink was in the shower, so toiletries had to be stored on a side table outside the bathroom.

    Hotel Casa Guadagno seemed more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The location was not as convenient as I had hoped, we needed to take a bus from the main square when we arrived with our bags. Our room was very small but clean with a small outdoor sitting area. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. When we left we were able to walk down to the ferry but not with our bags and needed to hire a service to bring them to the pier.

    This is our 6th trip to Positano, yet our first time staying in Casa Guadagno. Since most hotels in Positano have steps some more than we like to handle, we chose this location because it had minimal stairs. Our room very contemporary & updated; we had a wonderful balcony with ocean view, the breakfast area also had a wonderful ocean view with a tasty breakfast. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating providing us with wonderful service. The staff was also very welcoming; Noemi, the receptionist was excellent with our booking needs. Definitely will return to this hotel.

    This place is magical. The views are amazing, the workers are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is superb. I honeymooned here in 2012. I brought my daughter this time. She loved everything about Positano and Casa Guadagno. Being on the quiet side of the town is ideal. You’re close to everything still, but it is so peaceful. The beach is a breezy 15 minute walk, but shops and restaurants are close by and dot the road there. We slept with the balcony door open so the air could come in and it was lovely. If and when I return, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere but here. Until next time…
