  Sharon House is a good choice for staying in Amalfi

  We stayed at the Sharon House for 3 nights in October with another couple. It is rather different in that it occupies the third floor of a 4-story building. Other small hotels occupy floors 2 and 3. They all share a roof-top garden with views of the city and ocean beyond. Also, the hotel is not on the main road through Amalfi but just off it on a small walking path. The rooms are basic but fairly large and clean. The hotel offers a few options for breakfast which was very convenient. The ladies who ran the hotel were very friendly and helpful with booking transportation as well as advice for hiking and site-seeing. The location was good, close to many restaurant options and the beach area.

  A gem of the Amalfi coast - a great stay

  This hotel is conveniently located a short and easy walk from the ferry pier and perfect for access to everything Amalfi village or the coast has to offer. Our room was spacious, clean, modern and everything worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Price was fair and reasonable for the location and time of year. Highly recommended. The rooftop lounge area adds to the charm.

  Wonderful refuge in Amalfi

  Loved it here! A quiet and comfortable refuge in busy Amalfi. The staff are so nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Very happy with this choice.

  This hotel is very conveniently located. Although it is only one block from the main drag, the rooms are quiet. Each room has its own heater and AC, so you can keep your room whatever temp you like. The beds are quite comfortable. A major complaint is noise. Every morning we were woken up around 6am by our neighbors. The first morning we thought they were in the hallway, but when my husband went out to talk to them, he found out they were in their rooms chatting. After that we used a noise generator and rolled up a towel by the door. It helped but did not solve the problem. They do have coffee in the rooms, but breakfast is a DIY affair. As they have a minimal selection for sale from 8:30-10:30am, we opted to go out in the town. But this is not an issue as there are a ton of places open within three blocks of the hotel. Sometimes you just want breakfast in your room. The bathroom is well appointed, but no conditioner is provided, so bring your own. The coffee is Nespresso and they provide two pods per day. However there is a small supermarket next door that you can buy most anything from.The receptionist (Sharon) is difficult to understand, but tries hard. After much back and forth, she book us into an amazing tour on the Path of the Gods, where we actually visited Antonio's goat hut and were given lunch and a concert. I would certainly recommend the tour.The price is right and the location is amazing, so with a little forethought you can have a great stay here -- just come prepared. Or go to bed early and wake up early.

  Awesome Place to stay in Amalfi

  Lots of great things to say about this B&B in the heart of Amalfi town. It's a few minutes walk from the ferry port. It's located on a quiet side street away from the crowded main area. Our room and breakfast area was very clean and attractively furnished. Breakfast selection and coffee were very good. The staff were extremely helpful and the owner would talk to us every morning, asking about our day. A grocery store is located next door which came in handy for water, fruits and other items. There is an elevator which was helpful since they're on the 2nd floor. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. They even provided beach towels for our day at the beach.
