  Decent stay but tweaks required

  Communication with the owner was very good during the booking process. Upon arrival the attendant was friendly enough - though I do feel could have done more to help with the cases ( the route up is monitored permanently by CCTV) CCTV didn’t bother me but it might some people The room was lovely and decorated / furnished in typical Italian vibes. Bathroom size and shower superb. Please provide shower gel - over £200 a night requires this in my humble opinion. Water provided in a fridge which welcome and refreshments in way of tea etc. though the sugar was not replenished sufficiently enough.Air con was powerful and controllable - ace !Location good as just strolled down into Amalfi. Perfect and great views at breakfast.My main gripe was the breakfasts, which upon reading the other reviews appears to be a constant theme. The fact that nothing is done about it is particularly worrying.During our mornings there the offerings were exactly the same. Fruit not fresh - looked canned and insufficient choice. Yoghurts good.Bacon, if there at all not cooked enough.Omelette, if there at all quite rubbery Other egg not great either.Sliced bread out was drying up in the warmth so not appealing Other Bread options limited but cake looked good - if you like cake in the morning Coffee decent with optionsThe lady running breakfast had absolutely no personality or smiles. Hardly the industry to be in if you don’t enjoy customer service.Overall a decent stay but just lacking in the experience - if a hot breakfast undertaking is too difficult I’d suggest high quality breads, cheese, meats and fruits - that will never disappoint villa a, at Villa Annalara Hotel, responded to this review Thanks salvatore

  My trip to the Amalfi Coast was inspired by two books I read so long ago I can barely recall their storylines, but the spirit of the place stuck in my imagination like glue. Naturally, my expectations were high.Perched between two rocks with a panoramic terrace overlooking Amalfi, Villa Annalara is the quintessential Amalfi hideaway. Ideally located, close to the port, town centre, hiking trails, and the charming paper museum, yet far and high enough to be a tranquil retreat from the bustle below. While the elevator offers welcome convenience when carrying luggage, nothing can beat the stairs if you’re up for a more authentic experience. Though demanding, especially after a day conquering Amalfi’s endless steps, they reward you with breathtaking views, scents of citrus and wildflowers, and a rare, enveloping serenity.I spent six nights here during Holy Week in the Ginestra room which was welcoming, spacious, clean and equipped with everything I needed for a perfect stay. The villa itself is lovely, but it’s Salvatore who gives it its soul, turning it into a place I instinctively started calling home after just a day. His kindness and effortless balance between warmth and discretion makes staying here unforgettable. Salvatore knows this place like no one else and was always generous with advice, tips, and a helping hand — whether it was a cancelled ferry, a sudden change of plans, or the best bus to catch.Thanks to his tireless persistence, I even made it to Capri against all odds, which was no small feat on a day I also had to reach Rome. A simple 10 can’t begin to do Salvatore justice; his hospitality creates an experience you will fondly remember. I’ll be back one day and there’s nowhere else I’d rather stay.   Top Hotel. Highly recommend it.

  Top marks for facilities, for friendly & helpful management. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Salvatore helped me through difficulties which had been worrying me.Breakfast was a delicious choice of cereals, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit and a coffee to die for as soon as you emerge from your room.

  My first trip to Amalfi was nothing short of extraordinary! Upon our arrival, which was a bit late and dark, Salvatore played a crucial role in ensuring we connected with our driver (thank you, Franco! 🥰). He was there to warmly welcome us when we finally reached our destination.The villa itself is stunning—comfortable, immaculate, and exuding charm. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast on a beautiful terrace that offered breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Salvatore was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. Without a doubt, when I return to Amalfi, I will choose to stay at Villa Annalara again.   A Beautiful Villa and Amazing Location!

  Having been our first timeto Amalfi , I didn’t know what to expect. Just a short walk through town and then up several stairs (or take the lift - I recommend the steps - amazing views with each turn) Salvatore met us and kindly upgraded our room with an additional bed! The villa had everything we needed and a view we couldn’t believe! Breakfast was included and very fulfilling. I highly recommend and will be back!
