Location

The closest beaches are Torre di Grado, Marina di Praia and Cala della Gavitella, just 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. This beach hotel enjoys an excellent position with views over Positano and Capri. The town centre of Praiano is about 5 minutes' walk from the property. There, guests can find restaurants, nightlife, the bus station and shops. Guests may also be interested in visiting the nearby towns of Amalfi, Positano or Sorrento, which are approximately 10 km, 16 km and 36 km away, respectively. Pompei is located around 45 km, or 1 hour's drive, away, and Naples International Airport is around 60 km from the hotel.

    No booking, no refund at full payment

    I had a booking for 18.-23. May 2026, which I booked through booking.com. In a call I explained that my situation and asked about the possibility to get a refund and cancel the reservation. The reservation in the end was canceled without a refund and without prior warning about this. The hotel blames booking.com and booking.com blames the hotel. The weird thing is that I was just asking about options without explicitely stating that I want to cancel the booking at all costs. So far neither booking.com, nore Hotel Villa Bellavista has tried to find a solution. I am without the booking and without a refund.

    Every time we are in Italy, we make it a priority to make sure we stop here and have been here 6 times already. This family run hotel is a home away from home with breathtaking views, welcoming staff and lovely aromas permeating from the kitchen. Nestled between Amalfi and Positano, it’s location truly allows you to soak in the majestic Amalfi coast at a fraction of the cost. Make sure to book a boat tour with Gennaro and Raffaele, you’ll experience the true essence and beauty of the Amalfi coastline from the sea. Can’t wait to go back.

    We Love Hotel Villa Bellavista!

    There are a number of reasons why my husband and I keep coming back:1. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms2. Breakfast on the terrace with the incredible view3. The owners of this family-run hotel who are so helpful and accommodating4. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful flowers, plants and fruit trees which are tended to daily5. The location is quiet and convenient - close to bus stop, shops, etc.6. The hotel offers boat tours along the Amalfi coast and another to Capri. We took both and enjoyed them immensely!7. The hotel also offers a half-board option (a great value) which includes a delicious dinner on that amazing terrace. Can you imagine the view in the evening - just magical!

    I have now stayed here 8 times with my husband. It is like being in a dream, every time we visit. Many things are attractive for us here: the central Amalfi Coast location, delicious food, cleanliness, the swimming pool, the helpfulness and kindness of the on-site staff who were born and raised here. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

    Get all information on the hotel before booking

    On arrival in priano we discovered there was approx 108 steps to the hotel and with 2 cases that was not easy, we arrived and was greeted with drink. We were then told we had no sea view or balcony. We were then taken down two flights of stairs to our room. We were very shocked when we went in, the room was tiny, the bed very close to the floor and there was hardly any room to walk down the sides. The biggest shock was the very small window at the top of the room near the ceiling. There was cupboard like doors in the window with an ill fitting mosquito net in the hole. My husband was very badly bitten during the night. There was no safe in the room or any tea facilities. My husband never unpacked his case as there was no room for both our things. The bathroom was tiny. Unfortunately we had two days rain and got wet both days and had no where to put our clothes to dry. The room was onjy suitable for maybe a nights stay or back packer not for a week. We were in room 28, the lady did offer to move us rooms 4 days into our holiday but it was the same room with a slightly bigger hole in the wall. We did not move. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was ok. Our opinion is that all the information regarding the rooms and accessibility to get to the hotel should be clearly written in the hotel description. Anyone with a disability world really struggle . It’s safe to say our holiday was completely ruined. We did ask tui if we could be moved hotel but they said they were not able too, gennaro rispoli, Proprietario at Hotel Villa Bellavista, responded to this review Dear Customer,Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear your stay with us didn't meet your expectations.Our room descriptions include all details, like steps. You booked a standard room (no balcony, no sea view), which is what you got. We can't be responsible if the agency didn't inform you.The luggage transport is a paid and request service, but a staff member helped you anywayby arrival and departure.
