    Nicer than expected, especially for a hotel near the train station

    usually, hotels near train stations are a bit seedy, but the Hotel Fortuna was very comfortable and updated. The room was in good condition and at first, I thought the bed might be uncomfortable when I saw it, but it turned out to be quite comfortable with extra pillows and nice linens. Definitely nicer than I expected

    Stayed whilst waiting for a late flight after disembarking a cruise. The room was basic but clean if a little worn round the edges. Had a small balcony overlooking the main road towards the train station. I was very impressed how well the windows kept out the noise.It's very handy for the train staion and a taxi will cost around 12 euro to the port or there is always the bus. I wouldn't use it as a base for a vacation but was certainly fine for an overnight stay. I would stay here again.

    The rooms at Hotel Fortuna are simple and basic - with a desk, bed & wardrobe. My room had a small balcony. The bathroom was decent-sized. For the price, it was worth it. Pros - directly opposite Ancona station. Stay here if you need to get to other destinations in the region by train. Connectivity to the old town is convenient with frequent bus services from the station. It is not walkable so you will need to take public transport. There is a coffee shop next door where you can buy bus tickets. - Polite staff who spoke English well. - Housekeeping did a good job. - Great water pressure which was nice and hot. No kettle in the room so used the hot water to make tea. - Comfortable bed and pillows Cons - Air conditioning was set to ‘Heat’ as it’s not yet summer. Visited in May so the room can get stuffy during the day unless you leave the balcony door open. - No kettle or mini fridge in the room. - The wifi was intermittent during my 2-night stay. - A single plug point near the bed. Carry a multi-plug adapter if you need to charge multiple devices. - Not much in the area for food. - Room keys are clunky and inconvenient to carry around.

    We booked the room about 11:00 o'clock at night we drove 13 hours from Germany,we were so tired.we arrived about 2:00 o'clock after midnight and we asked if we can keep the room till 12:30 instead 11:00. The receptionist a man was kind smily and polite and said of course ok.Next morning it was a lady in the reception with long dark hair named Julia she was so rude.start shout at me that we couldn't have the room till 12:30 and it was a big problem the 30 minutes we wanted more.I was so tyred that couldn't keep on the conversation. It's very sad a hotel like Fortuna to have persons like her,rude and aggresive working to the reception. The hotel was very good,clean,nice location,very good breakfast,service and good price.
