Nice hotel and great view
19 Jan 2026
Very nice hotel at the top of a hill with a great view over the harbor. Staff were professional and friendly at check in and check out. The room was very clean and a good size. It was nice to have the mini-fridge during our three-night stay. We loved the view from our room, which I think was an upgrade. The hill is steep but not a bad walk to the city center and the hotel is well worth the climb back up when returning. I'd stay here again. Eleonora Smorlesi, General Manager at NH Ancona, responded to this review Dear Jaime F,Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback about your recent stay. We are delighted that you enjoyed the hilltop setting and the panoramic harbor views. It is wonderful to hear that our team made a positive impression during check-in and check-out. We are also pleased that the room’s cleanliness, size, and the convenience of the mini-fridge enhanced your three-night stay.Your comments about the pleasant walk to the city center and the rewarding return are greatly appreciated. Knowing you would choose to stay with us again is the highest compliment. We look forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable visit.EleonoraSmorlesiGeneral Manager

A warm welcome, a great room and a good breakfast. Job Done.

The guy behind the reception desk was great. He spoke perfect English and gave us a warm welcome. Told us everything we needed to know about the hotel and the surrounding area. As the hotel restaurant was closed he gave us some good tips on where to eat. That's it right there 5* review achieved. Just by making me feel welcomed and valued. Things continued on a positive note, the room was large, cool and comfortable. The bed was enormous, and I genuinely cannot find anything negative to say about this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to book again if we ever find ourselves back in Ancona. Eleonora Smorlesi, General Manager at NH Ancona, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your thoughtful review of our NH Ancona. We're truly delighted to read your kind words about our hotel, highlighting its many aspects, and to recommend it to everyone. Reviews like yours motivate us to continually strive for better service and hospitality. I'd love to share your review with the rest of the team; I'm sure they'd be proud. We're delighted you enjoyed all the comforts of your room, including the sea view overlooking the port and the old town. We pay close attention to the smallest details and always strive to make a difference in our service and hospitality to ensure we meet your expectations. Regarding your suggestion, I just wanted to let you know that we understand it requires an imminent renovation, and I can assure you that we've already received and scheduled the date for the work to finally begin. Both I and the entire team look forward to welcoming you back and offering you even more special treatment. See you soon! Kind regards, NH Ancona, The Management.

Stating her ahead of our ferry tomorrow Greece tomorrow. Family room is large, clean and inviting. Bathroom is great and staff really welcoming and helpful. Views of the port fantastic. We were too tired to venture out tonight so chose to eat in and we were so pleasantly surprised. Honestly, the best meal we’ve had in the last week of being in Italy! Don’t be put off by the emptiness of the hotelRestaurant, you will be glad you chose to eat in. The hotel’s room look old and need urgent refresh not 4 stars for sure. The bad experience was in restaurant while having breakfast we heard the chefs screaming whit bad words in Italian so unprofessionalFelt uncomfortable!! Eleonora Smorlesi, General Manager at NH Ancona, responded to this review Dear Peter,Thank you for sharing your thoughts at your stay and to considering Nh Ancona. We are sorry regarding your experience with us, that didn't match at all with your expectation. Your feedback is very important to us, and we strive to provide an atmosphere of professionalism and comfort for all our guests. Ancona is a smaller city is true but has many historical stories to discovery surrounded and absolutely the wonderful seaside cost of Conero. Hope you enjoyed the Seaview by the room, although old style which I'm totally understand your point and i can say that we already started a project to re-styling our room and we hope to continue sooner with the others as well. In about your mention of our Chefs, we apologies for that, is not in our Hotel's concern to use that dictionary at all. I'll report to them in order that must not happens again for sure. Our aim is always to create a welcoming environment that aligns with the quality and tranquility our guests deserve. My team and I hope to welcome you again to our hotel and you give another chance to offer better service and value to our hospitality jobs.Thank you again for the charme understanding, Kind Regards, NH Ancona Management
