    fantastic stay hotel very old right next to the Basilica views to die for food great recommend it for atmosphere alone.Great location lots to do and see in the area,.we were on a tour of Italy and only stayed one night wish it could have been longer,Good service staff very friendly.

    Perfect location right across the street from Basilica inferiore di San Francesco d'Assisi where St. Francis is buried. The distance to the parking is not as far as it appears on the map as Assisi is a very small town. Plain decor, but good AC, refrigerator in the room and very nice staff who speak excellent English. Breakfast is generous with cold cuts, cheese, eggs and bacon, sweets, 4 juices, etc. Excellent place to stay.

    The highlight of this Hotel is the location and the view. We reserved the room with the "basilica view" which is absolutely to die for! especially at sunset and at night. During the day, it could be a little noisy, but we were usually out at those times. Enjoyed the breakfast variety and the lady making the coffee very graciously waited on us every day and prepared the coffee just as we asked for (very important point for us :) ).Front desk was very helpful guiding us about finding the parking location. Definitely go back there!

    Great Location to visit Basilica

    We stayed three nights for the St Francis of Assisi activities. This hotel has a great Location. Right across from the basilica with great views of it and sunset from some of their room windows. Room 331 has really good views on two sides (corner room). A little noisy with street activity during the day but quiets down at night (except garbage pickup around 12:30 am).Rooms are a bit spartan with dated furniture but very adequate and seemed clean. Bed was firm and comfortable. Small bathroom with small shower / sit tub combo.Served a nice breakfast that was included in my room rate. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with information.We took the train the the nearest town St Maria de Angelis. Easy to get bus up to Assisi for just 1.25 Euro -- take the C Bus line from the train station. Buy your bus tickets in the small shop at the station.There is a lot of charm in the medieval hilltop city of Assisi, and lots of souvenir shops! Lots of cafes and bars.Nice place to visit.

    Lovely hotel. Very modern rooms in a quaint hotel. Nice shower and bathroom. Mini fridge for the wine. Great location across the street from the Basilica. We took a bottle of wine to the top floor terrace an watched the sunset. It has an elevator. Decent breakfast.If you have a car, drive to the hotel and drop your luggage and then they will direct you to parking.
