    Could not have hoped for me

    I had three nights in this wonderful hotel. The upper rooms are really really great. The location is super as it is quite, surrounded by nature and very close to the beach.Almost every staff member is friendly, nice and welcoming, especially Alessandro who was TOP,BREAKFAST deserves capital letter as it was the best we had during our trip in Italy!!

    We had a lovely stay at the Seabay hotel. It is surrounded by greenery, hills and birds’ song, close to the ocean (5 minutes walk), where you find pebble beaches and some restaurants. Thanks for the upgrade, the suite was lovely. The dinner was excellent, and great advices from the Sommelier for the wines. Very nice staff. We also enjoyed the SPA and having it on our own. Nice style and furnitures. I recommend this place!     We were charmed: a wonderful location, excellent staff, lovely dining experiences, and a clean and comfortable room. We were there to go birding in the park, and our walk about took us past lakes and seaside. The entire area is green and tranquil.We would not hesitate to return even though the birding was not as good as hoped for. But everything else was better.     The art of creating extra fees

    Be careful of the hidden charges: they tell you they would "give you" late checkout but they don't tell you they will charge you 100 EUR for it, they tell you they will upgrade you for free and then they don't. They charge 2 coffees 10 EUR. They try to extract money from you in every possible way so whenever they propose something, always ask if there are extra costs. On top, they do not seem to communicate with each other (e.g. between the duty manager and the staff) so they always play the "I wasn't told" game. We are truly sorry that your experience was not as positive as we hope for all our Guests.However, some clarifications need to be made.A late check was expressly requested for your room, granted until 6.00 pm, necessary for preparation for the event that motivated your stay. We can understand the urgency of the request made at reception which perhaps prevented you from checking whether there were additional costs. We always try to be flexible, but when the Guest's request is to stay in the room for several hours after the scheduled time, the service must necessarily be paid as it prevents the room from being sold to a possible other Guest. We are certain that you can understand the matter perfectly.As regards the free upgrade, it was said that we would do everything possible, without however giving any confirmation in this regard. It is always a pleasure to be able to comply with the requests of our Guests, whenever possible.There are more than two coffees consumed at the Bar. You can check with the people present following you who have used it.We also remind you that not being aware of your particular needs for your stay (the last interview was in February 2025, without subsequent confirmation) we found ourselves faced with a somewhat anomalous situation due to the arrival of several people from outside the hotel who referred to you, in various capacities. As you may understand, we must necessarily pay attention to those who enter to guarantee the tranquility and safety of our Guests. We would like to point out that some of these people were given free use of the Spa dressing room to prepare before the event they were headed to.Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify what happened.Alessandra Staff Seebay Hotel

    Quality and Service is not worth the price

    I would not recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Their communication was extremely poor even though we had someone who could speak fluent Italian with us. They quoted us a different room cost and then on the day we were leaving refused to honour that cost, implying that we had misunderstood what they had said - despite the proof we have that shows otherwise. The reception staff and bar staff were extremely rude, and multiple times pretended they didn’t understand us. For the eye watering price we expected so much better, but I’ve had better experiences at a no-star Holiday Inn.
