A lovely oasis overlooking the harbour

This was a lovely oasis at the end of a long day of travel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the standard room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and breakfast options were varied and plentiful. I had dinner in the Bistrot with a delicious aubergine parmigiana and Crema Catalana - at a very reasonable price for a 4* hotel. The bar was also very calm and relaxing. I sat with a drink and a good book afterwards, half-watching the comings and goings at the port. Altogether a very pleasant stay. Just don’t walk from the station if you’re arriving by train. It’s long, on major roads and then up a hill. Better to take a taxi or call the hotel to send one! We had no idea that we would stumble across such an excellent restaurant. We happen to be staying at the Seeport hotel and this was convenient. I have to say that this was one of the best steaks I ever had. Oh, heck! Everything I had at this restaurant was the best I ever had. That includes the service and our wonderful host, Gianni Luigi. Very comfortable bed (ask for different pillows and fluffy ones will be provided. Beautiful view of working port. Lovely, well appointed Hotel

Very nice hotel in a very handy location. If only the view wasn't an industrial port, but then the clue is in the name.Rooms are huge and well appointed.We used the bistro rather than the restaurant to eat and although very nice, I dropped one star as I felt the menu was a bit limited. Was this to push you to the restaurant, who knows.But overall lovely hotel and handy for the town and ferries. Best food I have ever had in a hotel - stunning views and service

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have EVER had! We had just come off the ferry from Greece and arrived at the hotel tired and hungry. The room was spacious and comfortable for me and my two teens. We decided to eat at the hotel rooftop restaurant as we didn't want to go out again and were blown away by the quality of the meal and the stunning views over Ancona at sunset. We didn't think they could top the dinner experience but breakfast was even better. The best pastries I have ever had in my life. Then the hotel manager arranged to get us to the train station in time. It is worth a trip to Ancona just to stay at this hotel.
