We chose the Best Western Hotel Piemontese mainly because of its excellent location, directly opposite Bergamo railway station, which was very convenient for getting around.The rooms are fairly basic and nothing particularly special, but they were adequate for our stay. The staff were okay, although we didn’t find them particularly welcoming or helpful.One thing that disappointed us was being charged for the water in the minibar when we checked out. There was no clear notice in the room indicating that the water was chargeable. I have no issue paying for something when the cost is made clear, but I felt this should have been communicated upfront to avoid any surprises at checkout.Overall, the hotel was okay and served its purpose, especially if you’re looking for somewhere convenient to the train station. However, the basic rooms, average service and lack of clarity regarding minibar charges meant it wasn’t an exceptional experience.I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. The location is definitely its strongest selling point, but there is room for improvement in both customer service and communication with guests

Very bad hotel, the first thing that we found when we arrived at this hotel was a lady complaining that expensive clothes and watches are missing from her room! The receptionist was heavily smelling alcohol and he looked under the influence of drugs! Not a safe place to sleep, avoid at any cost!

Never, ever stay here. Siren went off at 3am in room due to faulty wiring; I was told I had to have no power!!!

Siren went off at 3am in room; I had to fix it myself according to front desk agent who was sleeping. Result was we couldn’t have power remainder of stay.

Good base for the bus station to get out and about. Walking distance from the Old Town. Hotel pretty basic, but clean and responsible priced. Paper cups and only one key card to the room disappointing.

Very happy with this hotel and its comfort, service and location. Our Bikes were parked in a room within hotel garage.

Lovely hotel, room a little dated but good size, very comfy bed, air con, opening windows and a kettle. Our bicycles were parked in a locked room in the hotel garage. Service was great. We had breakfast which was OK.Hotel is very close to the train station and close to city centre. Takes about 20mins to walk to the funicular to citta alta
