    A day by the pool

    rating15 Aug 2025

Booked this non-chain hotel and it was a nice change. My single room was small, but had a nice view from the French balcony. Beach sandals were provided and in good use by the pool. As others have said, the reservation confirmation states that using a sunbed is included. This is however not honored, they force you to pay 5€/day. A parasoll would be an additional 5€, but this is not really needed as the sunbeds have a built in shade. Sunbed reservation is a good idea as pool access is sold also to non-guests. It was hot during my stay and the sunbeds filled up. I reserved breakfast when booking the room, but it is the same price (15€, 2025) if you book it on-site. The breakfast is adequate and you can order coffee from the barista. You can also eat breakfast on the terrace, which is nice. The chairs are plastic and the terrace is not very cozy, though it is shady.

Thank you for a really nice stay!!

    rating18 Aug 2024

This is a little gem nestled within the outskirts of Bergamo.I would 100% recommend to anyone. The hotel is close to main transport links - train and bus - which we used throughout our stay - train station is a 10/15 min walk and bus stops are similar. We were able to visit Lecco and then on to Bellagio and also Citta Alta during the course of our visit and all very easily. The staff could not have been more helpful - very friendly and approachable ready to answer any questions we had, pre holiday and while we were there.Hotel decor was beautiful with art and furniture thoughtfully placed throughout. The photos do not do it justice! The pool and surrounding areas were immaculate and sunbeds (and towels) readily available. These cost EUR5 per bed and we were notified of this when booking. The pool itself was open everyday of our visit and never crowded or noisy.Food at the pool bar was plentiful and delicious with an area to eat during the day/ evening should you wish.Transfers to and from airport (arranged by the hotel) were excellent as was the driver who was just lovely!Rooms were clean and modern with comfortable mattresses and pillows.

Bring earplugs, expect diarrhea and impolite service

    rating02 Aug 2024

    1. Bring your earplugs if you want to get a good nights sleep.2. Rent a car, because the hotel is not near to anything.3. The hotel offers baby swim classes for people outside the hotel (not guests) 2-3 days out of 7. That means that the pool area is occupied by 8 babies with moms and dads in the pool and the areas surrounding the pool. Babies crying, moms and dads singing babysongs, just a lot of noice. Not at all the quite place they advertised.4. We got diarrhea every time went in the pool after baby swim. I suspect that the cleaning of the pool is not thorough enough.5. Loud parties with Dj's at the poolarea. Parties for people from outside the hotel (not guests). It sounded like great fun, with loud music played by a Dj until midnight. This was not a thing the hotel informed us about, not before or during our stay. So stay ready for surprises.6. If you dare to use the sunbeds, the hotel will add 5 euro pr person pr day you use them. The day before you arrive you will get a message that if you reserve a sunbed, they will charge you 5 euros pr bed. In the booking documents it clearly states that sunbeds are not extra expenses.7. The rooms are not soundproof. You can hear every thing from conversations outside your door.8. On the positive site: the cleaning was nice and good.9. The breakfast was good for 15 euro pr person. You can also chose to go next door to the local supermarked and buy a good breakfast for 3.7 euro.Good advise: DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. You will not get what you paid for. An advice that I wish we had gotten before we booked this hotel.

    Main facilities not open

    rating10 Aug 2022

The hotel wasn’t as advertised. The main restaurant, bar and indoor pool are closed throughout August. For us, this was a major reason we chose the hotel and it really ruined our holiday because we have a baby it’s not very easy to go out at night to eat etc. When we complained we were offered no apology but simply told the pool bar was open - the pool bar serves paninis, some salads etc and isn’t a suitable replacement. We essentially paid for a hotel with services that didn’t exist and were given no kind of replacement. It’s false advertising. We would have left but couldn’t find any suitable alternatives at short notice. The three stars reflects what we did see, the rooms are very comfortable as it the bed. I’d also like to commend the staff at the pool bar who work extremely hard. The pool area is great. However, day guests are prioritised over hotel guests and I saw many hotel guests unable to get a sun bed as they were reserved for day guests (and not used most of the day). They need to re think this. We didn’t have a kettle in our room (to be fair it’s not advertised) and I asked for one and couldn’t get one. It’s a very basic amenity - I’ve never been to a hotel without one and I think for the price it should have been supplied. It’s a shame - it’s a lovely hotel and had everything been open it would have been really wonderful but we still did enjoy our stay.

    excellent value and very comfortable

    rating12 Feb 2020

I spent a night here with friends before catching a flight back to Ireland. The hotel is a beautifully restored old mansion filled with modern art. Rooms are comfortable, large and very tastefully decorated. There is an indoor pool, though we did not have time to use it.Overall, a very comfortable stay, close to the city of Bergamo and very good value accommodation.
