  Disorganised service with an attitude. Poor location - in front of Lidl and in what felt like a run down area.   Bologna hotel located outside the city wall but still close to all that Bologna offers.

  The staff is very attentive and committed to making any customer feel comfortable and happy. This is what makes any stay a good memory. There were several employees such as Vincenzo who works the front desk, Arianna and Amassing in the dining room and bar area that went out of their way too with outstanding service. Breakfast ever morning was plentiful and fresh. You could order eggs and cappuccino that were delicious. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and a train station that is a short walk away. Which makes Venice or Florence a 30 -40 minute train trip away. If you have a car there is plenty of parking available. The GM of this hotel, Luca is an asset to this hotel he helped make our stay in Bologna memorable.

  I stayed at this hotel over the holidays. I had two rooms. The hotel is located near the train station and a park with homeless individuals. Twice we were approached by people begging for food and money while standing outside of the hotel waiting for a taxi. The location is not convenient to walk into the main part of Bologna, we had to take a taxi anytime we wanted to travel there or back. This added about $60 US dollars round trip to anything we wanted to do outside of the hotel. The lobby was all dug up and being renovated and retiled while we were there. The breakfast was good. My main complaint had to do with one of the two rooms we had dripped from the ceiling about once every 30 seconds. The floor underneath the drip was warped, so it has been going on for a long time. I am a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott Bonvoy - so I am disappointed that they would put anyone in that room, let alone me. When I brought it up to the front desk they tried to blame me for not complaining immediately, and I told them that they had to have known about it since the floor is warped and they shouldn't be putting anyone in that room until it's fixed. Someone could slip, and it's also unsanitary to have water dripping from the ceiling. Additionally, they tried to charge me for my second room which had been pre-paid via Hopper. Fortunately, I caught the charge as I was checking out and had to argue and argue with them. The first woman was trying to dismiss it as a "pre-authorization charge", and finally, when I wouldn't accept that, a Manager came to help me and reversed the charges. Be aware that the showers in these AC Hotels are situated up pretty high, and you have to climb up into them and down out of them. Fortunately, my mother is in good shape and was able to do that.   AC Hotel Geeat Choice in Bologna

  AC Hotels have proven to be a good choice for us as we travelled across north/central Italy. We stayed in AC Hotel in Bologna, Firenze (Florence) and Milan. This Property was within 15 minute walk of the Bologna Train station and the sight seeing / restaurant areas.Its located in more of a residential area, but it’s safe and accessible. AC Hotels appear to be new and modern. While they aren’t what I’d consider a full service hotel with multiple outlets and amenities, their stylish design, great service and essential amenities like a restaurant are all available to be enjoyed. When traveling in Bologna consider this property as it’s comfortable, clean and safe. Just be prepared to walk to restaurants/ shops.
