3rd time here ideal base to explore. 10 minute stroll from station to hotel exit station on the left . Rooms are clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Can’t say what the breakfast is like as we like to eat out . A restaurant next door ice cream parlour and pizza shop (would recommend) very close . Unique and very comfortable boutique hotel in BolognaClose to the train station , ( 5 mins ) ,and walking distance to restaurants and historic city centre.Exceptional decor in the room and especially in the hotel lobby , restaurant and lounge areas.The pictures are accurate IL Guercino is very special and an excellent accommodation in Bologna. Location was great for the train station and walking into the city centre. Hotel staff were lovely - big shout out to the breakfast ladies who were superb.The room was adequate for two but had very, very little space to hang and store clothes etc. I lived out of my suitcase the 5 days I was there which wasn't ideal. Air con worked ok and it needed to with the 35+ degree heat! Nice little Hotel

Lovely little hotel, tucked just off the side streets south of Bologna Central. Ideally located within walking distance of just about everywhere in Bologna. Rooms are small but not cramped and the bathrooms are tidy and useable. The breakfast is good, there are gym facilities (free) and a sauna and jacuzzi pool available (chargeable).The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for business and I am genuinely thinking to base myself at the hotel again when I’m in Bologna. I’d stay for business or vacation and would be happy regardless. Really really happy to stay there again.
