This hotel is located right on the main street, within walking distance of the main shopping areas and right in the heart of the financial district. The main square, Piazza Maggiore, is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, Due Torri and the theatre are 15 minutes away on foot, and the Medieval Museum and cathedral are just 2 minutes' walk away. The stunning city of Bologna has a beautiful Old Town featuring long rows of porticoes and it has the oldest university in Europe. Milan is a two-hour drive from the hotel, Bologna train station is just 10 minutes' walk away and Bologna-Guglielmo Marconi airport is 10 km away.

The hotel was built in 1912. Guests have a choice of 109 non-smoking rooms located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

    What an absolutely stunning hotel! Everything about the experience was wonderful. I am disabled and the staff was so helpful to us. We had lost a cushion for the wheelchair and they found one for us to use during our trip. I don’t think I would’ve been able to use the wheelchair without it. Everyone who works the hotel is very nice.     The hotel was centrally located. Very convenient. The hotel is really well kept, great decor, no strong fragrances which is key for us, the rooms were very well kept and clean, the value is what you would expect for a 5-star, noise level was totally fine and the service was excellent all around. Th e amenities were good as well. I used the gym. A little small but it had everything I needed. Highly recommend.     My husband and I spent 4 nights in Bologna. This historic hotel is gorgeous and the hotel staff is exceptional. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. No detail is left out. We would definitely stay here again.     My wife Janet and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Majestic in Bologna for three nights, and we had a wonderful experience from beginning to end.We were warmly welcomed by Danilo, who was extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful. Roberto at the front desk was also wonderful. He made us feel very welcome and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights to see in Bologna.Every morning, we were greeted in the dining room by Georgia and Marcella, two wonderful ladies who could not have been more accommodating. Their warmth and kindness made us feel as though we were part of the family.A sincere thank you to everyone at the Grand Hotel Majestic for making our stay so special.     Grand Hotel Majestic in Bologna is exceptional!

    We are not fussy people and have traveled extensively. With that in mind, we arrived in Bologna to a well reviewed boutique hotel and quickly discovered that it did not live up to the photos, reviews or price. We found the Grand Majestic, made the switch, and they welcomed us with open arms for a mere 100 euros more per night. The concierge took personal charge of tracking down a piece of lost luggage and had it delivered to our hotel. He also arranged for a doctor to visit our room after falling ill. This is a luxury hotel in every way with old world standards. But it’s the warmth and kindness of the staff who made the experience extraordinary. We highly recommend the Grand Hotel Majestic.
