Average hotel—common areas large for Europe. Room not ready when we got to the door for maintenance, so they switched rooms. Specifically asked for no housekeeping and they did it anyway. Air conditioning controlled by the front desk—had to call twice to get it turned back on. Some staff good, though.

Had a great stay here. Staff very helpful and friendly. Davide Giacopuzzi provided great service in the bar and restaurant. Food and drink very good, Davide made some excellent cocktails and a great selection of wine from local area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I really like hiltons, just for full disclosure, and i generally have solid, predictably good experiences, but this particular hotel was something different. And i managed Marriott hotels for over 30 years so I’ve pretty much seen everything there is to see. Check in was fast, friendly and unhurried. I can’t recall his name but It was a flawless guest experience. Room appear to be recently renovated and are spacious by European standards. The best part is as my experience with the bar manager. He was amazing. Professional, friendly and made me feel at home. If i had to rate his customer service skills, I’d have to say I’d return here just to chat with him. I hesitate to call him a bar tender, he was far more than that. He helped us find restaurants, explained local ins and outs, but most importantly, he understood without being told, that we are tourist in an unfamiliar place. He explained local customs, gave solid advice. But most importantly, he was warm and made us feel comfortable. I’d rate our experience as the best Hilton garden experience yet. Davide Giacoputti is singular. Thank you!

A great choice for a short stay near Bologna Airport

We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Bologna North primarily because we wanted an easy and convenient hotel for our flight from Bologna Airport, and for that purpose it worked perfectly.From the outside, the building looks a little dated, but once you step inside, it is a completely different story. The interior has been modernised in the familiar Hilton Garden Inn style, with a fresh and comfortable feel. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.I had already upgraded from a King Room to a Deluxe King Room through the Hilton app before arrival. At check-in, I asked whether a suite was still available, as we had quite large suitcases from our trip and appreciated the extra space. Luckily, one was available. Simone at the front desk was extremely helpful and offered us a very good deal for the upgrade to the suite, including breakfast. I also added breakfast at the hotel, and overall we felt we received excellent value.The suite was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a short stay. There were plenty of charging options, including both USB-C ports and regular power outlets, which is always appreciated when travelling with multiple devices.The one area that could use some attention is the bathroom. It still feels like part of the older building and doesn’t quite match the modern style and standards of the rest of the room. A renovation would definitely bring it more in line with the rest of the hotel.For us, the location was the main reason for choosing this hotel, and it delivered exactly what we needed: a comfortable and convenient place to stay before our flight from Bologna Airport.I would recommend it for one night, or two at most. For a longer stay, I would personally choose a hotel with more facilities, such as a swimming pool.Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would happily return when we need a convenient overnight stay near Bologna Airport. Four stars from us.

Wonderful Bar, Food and Staff!

My sister and I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Bologna north and it was a fantastic experience. In the bar and restaurant Vincenzo R and Davide G. took wonderful care of us, the food and drinks were amazing! The front desk helped us with bags, ordered cabs and had a friendly hello every time we passed. It was 100% our favorite hotel in our 3-week vacation through Italy and Greece!
