  Please note, we stayed in Astoria Suite Apartments (Via Milazzo, 17-19, Bologna, BO, 40121 Italy) NOT the hotelCheck - In - Was a bit clunky. We had to go to the hotel first, pick up the keys, then go back to our apartment.Was the apartment clean - Yes, spotlessWere the beds comfortable? We had a 1-bedroom apartment with a king bed. It was comfortable. Shower - The shower was easy to operate, and pressure was good. Plenty of hot water. The tap handle was in the middle and protruded out a lot. You bumped it a lot which changed the temperature of the water.Was the environment quiet – We had no noise interrupt our sleep.Location – Astoria Suite Apartments is situated in a suburban street about 400 m from the station. It is a great location.The staff - Friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was included and speed was fast.General information - Astoria Suite Apartments is in a block of units. This unit was on level 1, and it had a lift. We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment, which had a full kitchen. The oven / cooktop had NO user manual, and it was very hard to operate. We had to google the brand / model to get it operating. The hotel should provide written instructions on how to use it.Would I stay there again - Yes, it was an ideal location. Good amenities, quiet location and close to everything. Just need cooktop / stove instructions supplied.We recommend it.   A solid three-star option close to the train station

  Stayed here in a decently sized twin room in building across a small courtyard from reception. Small hotel and not very fancy but efficient, clean and with friendly, responsive staff. Easy to get to from train station and a very doable walk to the more picturesque centre. Initially seemed like aircon did not work but staff sorted the issue very quickly and it worked perfectly. Very good shower in sizeable bathroom. Lots of choice for breakfast. Quiet street but thin internal walls between rooms so earplugs might be useful.   Good proximity from train station

  For 2 night, this was just what we needed. While there were some issues with wifi connection and the apartments were a bit far from the hotel itself, it is a good proximity from the train station and cleanliness is good. It was also very affordable. They let you leave the key in the room too, which is helpful for an early departure.   We are in absolute shock.We booked this property through Booking.com, and NOWHERE did it say that check-in is at a completely different location across the city.After a 22-hour flight, in the middle of the night, we were forced to go to one side of Bologna just to collect keys — and then expected to travel AGAIN to another location.On the way, the hotel promised us (via WhatsApp) that we would be given a room at the check-in location so we could rest, and move the next day.When we arrived?“Oops — your room has been sold.”Unbelievable.Instead of fixing THEIR mistake, they told us to take a taxi at OUR expense (€22) at 1:00 AM to the other side of the city.And it doesn’t end there — we stayed 5 nights (we even extended!) and NOT ONCE did anyone clean the room.€230 per night for this level of service?This is not just bad — it’s unacceptable.We travel to Bologna every year, and this is by far the worst experience we’ve ever had.We will never return.
