We had a great experience at this hotel. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful. A great cafe is just outside the entrance.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room. It's about a 15-20 walk from the Centrale station which isn't bad if you are packing light. If you have bigger luggage it may feel like a trek esp in the heat. The center is right around the corner. Bologna is small so it's pretty easy to walk around. The room is nice and modern as it's the bathroom. They have a different area for your luggage which was really nice with a full length mirror. Water pressure is great. The ac works great. The bed and pillows are comfortable and it's quiet so you aren't bothered by noise.

Lovely Place to Stay in Beautiful Bologna

The Hotel Metropolitan was a delight. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and informative. The hallways and rooms were clean and decorated with art from all over the world. The location afforded access to a variety of restaurants, shops, landmarks, and community events. The hotel's rooftop cafe provided a lovely view of Bologna, along with efficient service and free snacks with drinks.The morning front desk manager, Anita, allowed us into the breakfast buffet prior to its actual opening so we could have breakfast in time to make our respective flights and called a taxi on our behalf. The food was excellent and presented in an enticing manner. I'll stay there again if I ever have the good fortune to return to Bologna.

We stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan for 5 nights in July 2026. The hotel and service is excellent and all members of staff were charming. The room we had was perfect, very clean and good facilities, with efficient and much needed air conditioning. It is centrally located and so perfect for a sightseeing trip to the city.
