Location

The hotel is housed in an historic building on Via Indipendenza, in the heart of Bologna, just a short distance from the railway station (300 m) and about 5 km from Bologna Airport.

The hotel welcomes guests in a 5-storey building with 2 lifts and 116 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected.     What a wonderful hotel! We couldn't have had a better experience - in fact, this added to our desire to return to Bologna. The staff is exceptionally helpful - was able to get reservations for us at an excellent restaurant on Easter. They were so friendly and professional and kind. Very good breakfast, nice quiet outdoor area as well. The location on Via Independenzia was perfect - lots of great restaurants within walking distance and tons of shopping. Only about a 1 min. walk to the train station. We plan to return next year and will definitely stay here!     Very friendly staff, large hotel slightly old school, convenient location.

    This is an older relatively large 4 star hotel. Many different room types, we had a large deluxe double room, 31m2, which was very pleasant, facing the courtyard, so it was quiet. The courtyard is not super beautiful but nice enough, and the sun was shining into our room which was pleasant this time of the year (early March). Location is good, on the main shopping street and 10 mins walk from the train station, about 12-15 to Piazza Maggiore. Plenty of shops and restaurants in close proximity. Maybe not the most romantic part of the Centro Storico, but we liked a proper hotel and a large room. Everything slightly old school, but fully functional. Staff is super friendly, including reception, bar and breakfast. Breakfast is quite good and serves all tastes. We did not try the restaurant in the evening, or the Spa/Gym. Would definitely come again unless the prices would go up in the future. For our stay the price for the room was reasonable.     Spacious rooms but terrible internet and noisy

    The hotel is walking distance to the centre but is situated on a busy road. Booked a Superior Double room for 2 nights. Although we asked for a quiet room we were allocated a noisy room facing the road. We were woken by jackhammers in the morning, garage trucks at 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm and street cleaning at midnight. The room had a safe and TV but no bathrobes, no magnifying mirror. The internet was terrible especially in the evening. Although a complaint was made at the front desk, it didn’t improve. Also disliked having paper and plastic cups for hot tea and water instead of china cups and drinking glassware.     During my citytrip to Bologna I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel where the entire personnel is most helpful, the service at all times is perfect, the food and drinks are typical tasty Italian. And I even had the best hotelroom ever as I never slept so good, the bed was comfortable, there was no noise at all. The room itself as well as the bathroom were spacious, with view on the small inner garden.The hotel is perfectly located, as one can stroll under the arcades along the various shops towards the beautiful city center or walk for approximately 10 minutes to the railway station.
