Location

This comfortable hotel is only around 100 m away from the main train station. The Piazza Maggiore can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Further sightseeing attractions as well as shopping and entertainment opportunities lie close to the hotel. Marconi airport is roughly 7 km from the hotel.

Guests have a choice of 9 junior suites, 4 single rooms and 152 double rooms located in a 4-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Rooms

    Excellent location and all the standards you would expect from Minor Hotels.I have now used this hotel 3 times and this last visit was even better with the Monorail route from the airport to Bologna Central station.     I'm surprised that this hotel isn't rated higher on this site. Being so close to the train station, we were admittedly a little dubious on how things would turn out. However...this is a really nice hotel. Spacious and clean rooms, safe area, good staff. It was a little stuffy in the room, as I think they probably don't turn the A/C on until closer to summer. Other than that, this was a close-to-perfect stay. We appreciated having shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in the bathroom. It's a very manageable walk to all tourist sites, we found. Our family would definitely stay here again.     Well, I happened to book three nights at this hotel, which happened to be the same dates as the huge three day Cosmoprof beauty trade show in Bologna at the end of March, 2026. So first off, I think the price of the tiny room (about 260 sq ft) was extremely inflated (over $500 per night) due to high demand from trade show. I was staying 3 nights in Bologna as part of a vacation w one of my children. Sure, I didn't have to book it, but there weren't many hotels to choose from, so I sighed and booked it (paid up front, no refund for cancellation). The reviews were pretty good. The 2 twin beds were super comfortable, the shower was hot and had good pressure, and the room was reasonably quiet. Those things are very important to me. The reception staff was very professional and kind. However, the hotel completely lacks charm and ambience. It's not that close to anywhere you'd want to be (although nice and close to train station). I think this a a hotel suited to business trips, not people on vacation looking for ambience. The immediate area around hotel is dirty and uninviting. You have to walk about 15 minutes to be in a good location. I'm disappointed that I paid so much. The tiny room wasn't terrible but the bathroom was very tired: the door to the bathroom was all chipped paint and didn't close too well, the bathroom fixtures were grubby and dated, and the bathtub/shower (very dated) drain was super slow. The decor was pretty dismal (except for the crisp white bed linens, those were very nice). It was OK, but overpriced and unappealing. Fine for quick business trip, but not great for families.     Hotel is good but GHA discovery customer service is not

    We recently stayed at the NH Bologna, and while the hotel itself was perfectly fine, my experience with GHA Discovery customer service has been one of the most frustrating I’ve had with any hotel loyalty program.All I wanted to do was consolidate two accounts under one profile and ensure that the points for our stay at NH Bologna were credited correctly. Despite providing confirmation numbers and all relevant information, the process turned into a long back-and-forth exchange of roughly ten emails. I was repeatedly asked for paper copies of the stay invoice and other documentation, even though the stay details were already in their system.After all that time and effort, the issue was still not resolved. Unfortunately, the experience with customer service has been so unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming that I’ve decided to close my affiliations with this hotel group altogether. A simple request should not require this level of effort.     Super convenient - great value for money

    Good place to stay ! I was stranded in Bologna by a broken down BA flight and needed somewhere to stay. The NH Hotel is really central, close to the main station and very convenience to the airport as only a 10!minute ride on the metro. They took me in a short notice, and was excellent value for money. Really nice room, decent bathroom and cost effective Thank you NH - first time with your chain but will definitely come back to you every time on business in Bologna Well done!
