Excellent room, except I wish Italian hotels would realise folk like a cup of coffee in bed. I brought my own kettle and supplies. Parking in the open area was very difficult,m there are not enough spaces for the customers. michele barini, Guest Services / Front Office at NH Bologna Villanova, responded to this review Dear Derek.Thank you for choosing NH Bologna Villanova and for sharing your feedback with us.We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the room and our breakfast offering. An unexpected detour.
31 Jan 2026
We were originally slated to stay in Treviso for several nights when the opportunity arose to travel to Bologna for a few days for a business meeting. When we left Treviso by train we had no idea where we would stay. Luckily our companies travel and booking department were able to secure rooms for three members of our group at this location. It was a little outside of the city, which ended up being no issue at all. It was only a short taxi ride into town. The rooms were very nice and quiet, although being American, I was used to a little more AC. The second night here I just slept with the window open. Being on the ninth floor I had no issues with noise. The breakfast area was nice and well appointed with a large variety of meats, cheeses, breads, and fruit. We spent some time at the bar on our last night here and the bartender was very friendly and open to our requests of drinks she’d never made before. Would absolutely like to stay here again. Next time I want to bring my wife along as well though. michele barini, Guest Services / Front Office at NH Bologna Villanova, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed and enjoyable review of your stay at NH Bologna Villanova. We are delighted to know that, despite the unexpected change of plans, we were able to welcome you and your colleagues and contribute positively to your time in Bologna. We are pleased that the location, although slightly outside the city center, proved convenient and allowed you to enjoy a quiet and comfortable stay. It is particularly rewarding to read your appreciation of the room comfort and tranquility, as well as the variety and quality of our breakfast selection.Thank you also for your kind words about our bar service. We will be sure to share your compliments with our bartender—she will be thrilled to know her friendliness and creativity made a lasting impression. We appreciate your comment regarding the air conditioning as well; feedback like yours helps us better understand the expectations of our international guests. It is truly flattering to hear that you would choose to stay with us again, and we would be honored to welcome you back—next time, hopefully with your wife as well.Warm regards,The NH Bologna Villanova Team
