This is an excellent hotel to stay in and visit the historic area of Bologna. We stayed for 4 nights and it suited us perfectly. The location is fab as you are right at the centre of this beautiful city. The room was very clean and comfortable and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast on offer each day was also excellent. Amazing staff

    rating12 Aug 2026

We’ve just left the hotel, I’m writing this waiting for our train. We had an excellent stay, absolutely loved the hotel but were particularly impressed with the staff all of who were just wonderful. We had a studio apartment for a family of four, easily controlled the aircon (essential because it’s baking hot outside), it had a kitchen but never used it, the food in the city is far to good to be missed. The location is perfect, you step out the front and you are in the town, about a minute from the main square. We took the food tour organised by the hotel and lived the lady who shows us how to make local pasta. I have to single out for praise the following, the lady on reception who my wife spoke to before we came, she was exceptionally friendly and professional. Mara, who looked after us when we arrived and interpreted for us, was absolutely brilliant, friendly, professional a credit to the hotel. And, I did not get his name, by the gentleman who looked after us in the restaurant (his cousin is a U.K. firefighter) was superb. We would stay here again but n a heartbeat. Thank you ?? Phi Hotels, Proprietario at Phi Hotel Bologna, responded to this review Dear Graeme, nothing brings us greater joy than knowing we helped make your family’s time in Bologna so memorable. Good hotel but not totally convincing

    rating29 Jul 2026

The hotel is in a central location, very convenient for most things. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The air-conditioning cannot be turned off in the room although there is control for it. It can only be turned off by the reception. We found it too cold on our first night and we prefer to have the windows opened anyway. There is an extensive buffet breakfast, but what we normally have for our breakfast were not great. The fruit juices are in jars which are not freshly squeezed but from a carton. There were the same three sliced fruits, water melon, pineapple and melon every day. There is a basket of fresh fruits but these are not extensive. Room size, classic double is not exactly spacious. Phi Hotels, Proprietario at Phi Hotel Bologna, responded to this review Dear David, thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel in the heart of the city and for taking the time to write to us.We are delighted to hear that the friendliness of our team left a positive impression on you during your stay. Making every guest feel truly welcome and supported is what motivates us every day.At the same time, offering a balanced breakfast selection with authentic local and seasonal flavors is what we strive to ensure every day. We regret that they didn't meet your expectations, but we will certainly keep your comments in mind as they provide valuable insights to improve our guests' daily experience. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.Phi Hotel Bologna

Fantastic hotel in the city centre of Bologna

    rating17 Jul 2026

To kick off our holiday, we stayed for two days in the La Torre apartment at Phi Hotel Bologna. The hotel is centrally located, ideal for a city trip to Bologna; everything is within walking distance and just outside Piazza Maggiore. They have a very extensive breakfast buffet where nothing is lacking. But the best thing about this hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff. We felt very welcome in this beautiful city! Highly recommended! Phi Hotels, Owner at Phi Hotel Bologna, responded to this review Dear Frank, thank you very much for your wonderful review.
