Location

Set in the heart of the city (Piazza Maggiore), the hotel is one of the oldest hospitality venues in Bologna. Thanks to its location, it is also the ideal starting point for setting out to discover Bologna's amenities, either on foot or by bike. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is approximately 8 km away from the establishment.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1375. 4 junior suites, 2 suites, 2 single rooms and 25 double rooms are available to guests in a 4-storey main building and an auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee) and a laundry service.     We had a fantastic experience at Phi Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, stylish, and thoughtfully maintained, which made it an easy place to relax after exploring the city.Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet.     Fantastic Stay and the Adventure of the Yellow Shirt

    Location is fabulous, but it’s Bologna! Breakfast was perfect and lovely, but it’s Bologna! The hotel personnel we accommodating to my temporary crutches situation with occasional scooter, to the point they allowed me to park it in a downstairs closet that one of them sweetly called a garage. 😁 We decided to go back and stay there again and even as we left they offered us wrapped candies for the journey. Little did we know at the time, we did something we never do: left a yellow shirt behind. We emailed the hotel 🏨 to receive a prompt reply and how to get it shipped to us in the US. After a user error in my part paying for shipping, the box arrived and it felt heavy for one linen shirt. Inside, we found a pair of pants, socks, tee, and the yellow linen shirt. All belonged to us. We are delighted to have the items but even more delighted to report that the hotel personnel were kind, diligent and patient at every turn. When we go back to Bologna, and we will, we will gladly stay at the Phi Hotel. Thank you people at the Phi Hotel whose work each day may go unnoticed. You are appreciated.     A great place to stay in Bologna

    We spent 5 nights at the hotel, one in the hotel itself as we had to come early at the last minute and four in La Torre apartment. Everything was great. Rooms and apartment clean, comfortable and well serviced. Breakfast was plentiful and good value and there are several jolly places nearby if all you want is a croissant and cappuccino. The connected restaurant, Atipico, is also worth going to - good local food, with a buzzy atmosphere. Above all the staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were wonderful. Friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.     Fantastic hotel; superb location!

    Fantastic hotel with super-friendly staff both on reception and in the Atipico restaurant and the perfect location for discovering Bologna. Room was excellent (JFK theme) and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and very good as was the lunch in the restaurant for which the hotel provided a 10% discount.Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again next time we’re in Bologna.     Perfect for the city centre

    A well-located hotel near the main square.Rooms are comfortable and funny ‘cause they’re full of old-style objects and brands.The hall and the breakfast lounge are functional, even though they aren’t so big. Overall the accommodation is pretty good and I would choose it again. In addiction on the evening the breakfast lounge becomes a little restaurant.
