  What 4* hotel has no usb/ power points by the beds these days? The “facilities” include a wifi which ran so slow as to be useless & we were forced to use 5G. You cannot change the a/c any colder than 22deg. When we went into the room there were crumbs on a tray (see photo) and black mould in the bath. Also area of carpet are threadbare.   I have to say that before I booked this room on Booking.Com, I read some great reviews and some negative reviews. I am here to tell you that those negative reviews were absolutely WRONG. This hotel is 1st class, all the way. We have been treated with nothing but kindness from all of the staff, especially when my husband came down sick and I needed help with the language barrier (I know very few Italian phrases.) From bringing clean sheets to delivering dinner to our room, these folks are outstanding! We stayed in a suite and it is perfect! Clean, great air conditioning, and quiet except for the usual outdoor noise you will often hear in a city. I just wore earplugs and slept like a baby. The mattress was firm, as is to be expected in Italian culture, but a very nice and new mattress at that. The location is wonderful. Everywhere is walkable within about 20 minutes or less, even the Aldi a block away. I loved it. If I am ever able to get back to Bologna, this is where I will be staying.   Well presented & extremely comfortable!

  Perfectly delivered what we needed, a comfortable stay over with easy access to the train station and city combined. The hotel was immaculately presented & decorated, staff were very friendly, bar and lounge large & relaxing, rooms sizeable, breakfast very well catered for, and family was very comfortable and happy to arrive after a long days travel.   Huge hotel, great beds.

  THIS HOTEL IS HUGE! It reminded me of a resort-style hotel with two wings. Palm trees and pond in the middle – not a swimming pool. Huge reception area with lots of seats, staff and a concierge. Easy and pleasant 10-15 mins walk to the centre of town. Breakfast is €15 a night. Alternatively there is an Aldi very close by to the right. Big room, very comfortable bed, well fitted out, TV with international channels. However, I had NO WIFI in my room (226 in the right hand wing) for my entire stay. Reported it, but it was not fixed in the 3 days I was there and they just said they had changed their phone system. It worked fine, however, in the reception area/near the lifts.My room had a high shower-bath which was really poorly designed as the shower attachment faced the shower curtain so was very impractical. Great value for money though. My room was €70 a night. €5.80 in addition for tourist tax per night.   Fantastic hotel

  Fantastic hotel, and a real throwback to a time before hotels became bland and generic. The rooms were spotless, the beds extremely comfortable, and all of the staff were brilliant, friendly and courteous.All in all, I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It has a real character and charm that you don’t find in many hotels these days, and I would absolutely love to come back again.
