Family Holiday base, but the atmosphere is boring

Hotel was nice and clean. the breakfast was average and the same every day. The staff there need to learn to smile, apart from one girl who worked being the bar, the rest could not even look at you and say hello (or smile). The Gargenelli restaurant however was great, food there was exceptional. The bar lunch menu isn't great very little choice, the one day where the restaurant was open for lunch we did eat there, food was good, but there seemed to be a conference on, and we felt that they wanted us out as soon as they could so that the (more important) guests would not be interrupted. This hotel is not for families, for example there is no ball games allowed at the pool, my daughter was told off on multiple occasions for either walking towards the bar without a t shirt on, making a splash when she got in the pool (hardly jumping) and attempting to throw a small soft ball for fun. The lifeguards need to lighten up a bit. I will not be returning, but if you are looking for a hotel to stop off on a business trip, this is for you

Beautiful hotel with a great outdoor pool. Ideal location for visiting Bologna (several local bus routes within a few minutes walk of the hotel). A very peaceful location, just off the ring road of Bologna at exit 9.Fabulous breakfast buffet. Great value for money. Free car parking. Pool towels available at an extra charge. Gorgeous evening dining at the hotel. There is a great family run restaurant about a 20 minute walk away called La Picolla Tratorria, Via Ferravilla 6A-B.I would return to this hotel for future visits to Bologna. Really enjoyed this hotel.

We organized our wedding lunch at savoia regency. The restaurant and the staff were wonderful. The location is very nice and the food was very good. They offer different menus. Highly advised if you have allergies or food intollerancies.

Disappointing stay

No 4 star hotel, hardly 3. Poor service all over the place. Breakfast not fresh, dirty tables, staff mostly absent. Drinks at the bar are expensive and served with ‘reluctance’. Atmosphere in the breakfast hall is depressing. Overall a disappointing stay.

Very nice hotel and service. The pool is superb. We travelled with kids and they enjoyed as well. Breakfast is nice and dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good, had dinner there twice. Had a rental car but also took the close-by bus number 20 to downtown Bologna, which was handy. The rooms are good though not newly minted. Airport is close-ish.
