    Disappointing

    rating16 Jun 2025

We had a two night stay at Hotel Igea and came home feeling like we’d paid a lot for a very disappointing hotel experience. The reception staff were friendly but our room was really low quality and in desperate need of upgrading. I’ve never seen such a bad view - see photos. The breakfast was completely underwhelming.

    Utter crap

It's a disgrace. The bathrooms and showers are disgusting nothing like the photos on booking.com. It's obviously completely misleading but when you complain to booking.com they don't do anything. Dont go near it. I had 5 rooms there. 2 had disgusting showers. 2 had bedrooms which were flooded. 1 had a room where the lights fused so they had to send me to another hotel.

Disappointingly Outdated and Worn-Out Property with Limited Upsides

    rating12 Nov 2024

Pros:Reception staff display excellent service skills—attentive, proactive, and solution-oriented. Their professionalism, particularly when resolving issues, is commendable. The evening restaurant staff provide a friendly, casual atmosphere, ideal for corporate guests looking to unwind after a formal day.Cons:Dreary, Cold Rooms with Hygiene Issues: The room environment is dim and unwelcoming, with a stale atmosphere upon entry. Curtains appear worn and unclean, while the main lighting control suffers from unreliable, defective outlets.Bathroom Conditions Subpar: The bathroom’s lighting is insufficient, the temperature is uncomfortably cold, and visible calcium buildup tarnishes the tiles, creating a neglected look.Lack of Temperature Control: Thermostat settings appear non-functional, leaving the room’s climate static and uncomfortable.Substandard TV Remote: A taped remote control reflects a concerning lack of attention to detail and basic maintenance.Unwanted Early Wake-Up Calls: The noisy electronic shutters seem to malfunction, creating disturbances in the early morning and throughout the night, which is a major inconvenience.Uncomfortable Bedding: Hard pillows make sleep difficult and contribute to discomfort, potentially even causing headaches.Unfriendly Breakfast Staff: The breakfast team lacks warmth, avoiding eye contact and failing to offer a simple greeting, which detracts from the morning dining experience.Lackluster Breakfast Buffet: The buffet is uninspiring, with unappealing items like floating sausages and hardened scrambled eggs. No healthy or brown bread options are available, creating a lackluster and unappealing spread.Basic Evening A La Carte Menu: The limited selection suggests a bare minimum effort, lacking variety or creativity.Overall, despite the commendable efforts of the reception team to quickly address maintenance issues, it’s disappointing to see a property with such potential fall short in so many areas. Given its prime location near Brescia Central Station, this hotel should strive for higher standards. Presenting itself as a four-star property is misleading, as its current state aligns more closely with a zero-star rating.

Would give a zero rating if available.

One word to describe this place…..DISGUSTINGDefinitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Extremely outdated room, musty smelling carpets, dirty shower full of hair, only thin bedsheet on the bed. Definitely should be rated a 2 star at best. Avoid at all costs.

    Comfortable

    rating01 Mar 2024

Wonderful stay here in Brescia. Located just beyond the train station ( about five minutes walk) so very helpful when getting the early train in. The lady in reception was very helpful and even allowed us to check in a few hours early so we could have a mini rest before going off to explore the surrounding areas. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was just plentiful.
