  Fantastic beach hotel, did not disappoint

  Having done plenty of research (based on location, facilities etc), this hotel delivered on my expectations. I had booked 5 nights a Deluxe Sea View, had asked for first floor though don't know where these rooms are located. They delivered on great view, room 241. Very spacious, light & bright, excellent shower, 2 bottles drinking water every day refreshed.As I had read many reviews also I knew what to expect so was not disappointed, for the price too, it delivered.The only negative was there was no choice to dine in the hotel in the evening except where we had breakfast which is huge and impersonal. On that note, breakfast was a bit disappointing in quality, food very slow to re-fill. Staff sourly and unfriendly. You can order fresh cooked eggs. Once we ordered 2 poached eggs.... a very miserable looking chef delivered it to our table.... uncooked and inedible!On the positives. - Reception staff welcoming and helpful. - Stromboli pool bar, beach staff were friendly and efficient.- the pool is gorgeous quite large and warm, sea is crystal clear. Plenty of sunbeds.- the garden / landscaping is immaculate, hats off to the gardeners. The only thing though is the trees growing up the building, should be significantly trimmed as half the view was blockedThe finale..... oh my gosh, the sunsets, absolutely stunning. Lovely places to sit and enjoy an aperitif and watch the sun going down. One evening we were there, a saxophonist was playing.... what a great choice, created a great atmosphere, it was very special.Final shout out in particular to Stefano at the Stromboli bar in the evenings... he was charming, efficient and remembered what we liked to drink. Also to the lovely Oksana who made up our room and always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed. It's these personal touches from the staff that help make our stay special.If it was easier to get to, we'd be back. If they opened Stromboli in the evening (lovely menu), we'd definitely be back!

  Should not call itself child friendly

  The aesthetic of the hotel is nice but this hotel should not be classified as a “child-friendly”Hotel. Having a cot and a high chair available does not make it child friendly. It has no children facilities, the pool outside is not heated and way too cold for a child, and the indoor spa pool cannot be used for anyone under 16. If you are a pensioner who wants a glass of wine and read a book and have no problem waiting for 40 mins for a coffee at breakfast this is the place for you. But anything out of this scope, I would not recommend. Service is pretty terrible as well. Slow and very poor English spoken by the staff. Also had an issue with false advertisement prior to coming here they advertised a package that included dinner but after booking the non-refundable rate they said it was incorrect and did not include dinner as I didn’t book the half pension. So just be wary of what is advertised as it is not what is provided. Would not come back.

  Our entire experience is absolutely spectacular!We want to express our immense gratitude to the whole team at the Thalasso Spa. To Diana Dimitrova and the therapists, Julia and Laurena, with their hearts and hands of gold. My mum and I were treated with such kindness, care, and gentleness that one can wonder at the unique and intricate combination of professionalism and human touch. Thank you very much!   Great location but mediocre hotel

  Great location on the beach…beautiful salt water pool & plenty of loungers. Hotel rooms were roomy with large seaview terrace, but not very well appointed. The only restaurant that was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner was poorly staffed, the food was generally tasteless and cold at the breakfast buffet. The hotel itself could also use some maintenance as we observed alot of rusted metal throughout the structure.

  Beautiful hotel & facilities - service horrendous!

  Let me start with the positives.. The hotel building is inviting and very welcoming as are the facilities. The beach is very good as is the pool – the grounds throughout are really inviting and the setting is absolutely superb.The guys at the Stromboli bar during evening service were excellent as were the housekeeping standards in the room. The beach guy who wears the white t-shirt was very obliging and nice. The reception staff were also helpful and polite. The list of negatives … this hotel has ‘invisible’ management which is such a shame as it really wouldn’t take much to make a stay there excellent. The staff at breakfast are miserable, somewhat angry and it is run abysmally! You have to wait at least 20 mins for a coffee, which never really tasted that good, the food was diabolical – it was either cold or empty pots, lack of crockery, many items such a milk, bread, fruit not replenished. If you dare to ask for something that is empty the response is just plain rude! How difficult would it be for someone running a hotel to ensure breakfast is a delight with food and crockery constantly replenished etc.. no one takes responsibility for these tasks.If you asked one of the staff where your order may be – this seemed to be outrageous to them – they really have a lot to learn about basic service and that a kitchen should be able to deliver hot/cold fresh food on the go!The beach attendants who wear the red t-shirts are beyond rude and intimidating – I paid for 3 sea view rooms which was not cheap but to want 2 towels instead of 1 seemed to be a crime. They act like they are ‘towel police’ and seem like they want an argument .. after this happened for 2 days, I told them to speak to their manager if they had a problem. Many other people were offered 2 towels – crazy! This is disgraceful. I did have a conversation with reception twice about this and they were very polite and apologetic but that was where it ended. You spend a lot of money to stay but you can’t have another towel if you want one – utter madness!No vanity kit in bathrooms which is odd. Housekeeping – their service was great but every morning without fail they would bring out their cleaning carts around 8.30 and shout to each other having a chat – surely management would tell them to be considerate of guests sleeping or resting and not to do this – again such simple management lacking.Overall – beautiful hotel and facilities but it is run so very badly – they have a lot to learn! Whoever is even overseeing the management is clearly also doing a terrible job!
