  Great resort beware of rocky beach

  We stayed for 3 weeks at Infinity Resort Tropea. The resort sits on a cliff overlooking the famous Costa degli Dei (Coast of the Gods), with incredible views of the turquoise sea. From the panoramic pool and terraces, it really feels like you’re floating above the Mediterranean. What we loved most was the tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by nature and just a short drive from Tropea, it’s the perfect place if you want to relax while still being close to one of the many beautiful towns in southern Italy. We had a wonderful stay and we’re treated like royalty by the staff. Thank you to everyone for all your care, from the front desk to the ristorante staff, chefs, gardeners, the maids and lifeguard, we were well cared for. We are giving one star less due to the rocky cove and rocks/boulders that refrained us from entering the sea for a swim, which is such a waste. *Rooms are spacious and well cleaned. *Breakfast and food à la carte in the restaurant are amazing, good quality and well thought out. *Every meal was a delicious experience. The service in the restaurant was quick and efficient. Thank you Francesco, Simona, Emma, Anthony, Michele, Emilio and Antonio, we will remember you all fondly.Suggestions: -A small bridge would be appreciated to pass over the rocky / boulders entrance to swim directly into the sea.- A shuttle bus would be appreciated for guests that don’t driveI.e. to near beaches, near by towns, train station and Tropea etc.

  Stayed here in August 2026. The rooms were old and not well maintained. There was mildew in the showers. For most of the 5 days I stayed here, the AC was struggling and smelled of mold. I complained to the front desk staff including Max, and was told on various occasions that I, as an American, was not used to the way air conditioners worked in Italy. On the last night the AC did not work at all and the temperature in the room became ridiculous. The woman at the front desk at first told me that the room temperature was set at 26 Celsius. I told her I did not set it at that temperature. she then proceeded to "reset" the room temp, and again told me that I was not used to the AC in Italy. At this point I told her that she was being offensive and perhaps shoul go back to hospitality school and learn how to talk to clients. The resort is not cheap. The room I had cost me 2500 Euros for 5 nights. Based on the location and the layout of the place, I did not mind the cost, but I expected working air conditioners, and I expected my concerns to be adressed in a professional manner. My sister also stayed for the same week, and her experience was the same. She actually left one day early because her room AC did not work for 3 days. When she approached Max, the manager, he told her that someone pulled the emergency cord in the shower, and that shorted the AC in the room. What a crock!. If this was the case, why did not anyone come to the room to check on the well being of the occupants. So if someone was having a heart attack, no one would be alerted? I have never heard such nonsense before. Her room was even worse than mine. On her 3rd day there a technician was finally dispatched when the AC unit was leaking from the ceiling. He said the drain to the unit was clogged with mold and algae. After this my sister decided to leave because of concerns about breathing in mold. We took pictures of the black mold in the room and in the hallway ceiling. This resort has seen better days. The management staff lied, and was dismissive and insulting. I would reccommend staying elsewhere in Tropea.

  Excellent Resort in Tropea!

  We stayed at Infinity Resort Tropea for 3 nights as a group of 7 split into 3 rooms. I only have words of praise for this hotel. The hotel is situated around 5-10 minutes drive away from Tropea, however we had a car and the hotel provides free parking on the premises which made travelling very easy.The rooms were very spacious and clean. Each room had its own private patio/balcony which is a very nice touch for a resort, especially helpful to dry beach towels and swimwear after a day by the sea/pool. The hotel amenities are lovely - the pool is large and all the hotel grounds are very well kept. The hotel also has a private beach which can be accessed by going down a large amount of steps. Although the beach is very rocky and it is not so easy to get in and out of the water, the atmosphere at Frida’s beach is lovely, with excellent drinks and cocktails available for purchase.Breakfast was included in our booking and this was plentiful and of good quality. We also ate at the poolside restaurant on 3 separate occasions and the food was always very good.I will definitely be returning to this hotel if I am ever in Tropea again and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Tropea!

  Everything about this place is just right, what a fantastic resort!

  We had a wonderful holiday here. Infinity Resort Tropea is absolutely beautifully located. The resort is very spacious and everywhere you go, you have a wonderful sense of peace and space. The swimming pool, comfortable sun loungers, the private beach at the resort and, above all, the fantastic views make this place truly special.What we especially loved is that the resort never feels crowded. There is always plenty of space, whether you want to sit by the pool, have breakfast or dinner, go for a swim or simply relax somewhere around the resort. I think this is because the resort is so generously laid out in relation to the number of rooms and guests. Even when there are plenty of people staying at the resort, you simply don’t notice it. That sense of space and tranquillity was one of the things we appreciated most.The restaurant also deserves a huge compliment. We had some absolutely delicious meals there. Breakfast is good and extensive, and you can order lunch and snacks until 6:00 PM. Dinner was delicious every single evening. They have also recently introduced a pizza menu, which is of course perfect when travelling with children. We also found the prices very reasonable: a Margherita pizza, for example, costs €9, and most other dishes are around €18–€25. Every evening, you are also served a lovely amuse-bouche before your meal.Everything is beautifully presented, and the staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and professional. We went out for dinner in Tropea one evening, but afterwards we were actually very happy to return to the resort and eat at our own restaurant again the following evening.The resort also has a second private beach a few kilometres away. Everything was perfectly organised there as well. We were even picked up from the car park by golf cart, taken down to the beach and brought back again afterwards.The location is also perfect for exploring this beautiful part of Calabria. We rented a car, which I would definitely recommend as it gives you the freedom to discover the area. We did so many lovely things during our stay. One of the absolute highlights was hiring a private boat with our own captain for five hours to explore the coastline from the water, highly recommended! We also did a pizza-making workshop, rented a pedal boat to explore the spectacular coastline around Capo Vaticano, spent a day in beautiful Tropea and took several lovely road trips through the surrounding area. There is so much to see and do here, and the resort is a wonderful base to come back to afterwards.For us, this really was a place where everything comes together perfectly: the location, the sense of space and tranquillity, the views, the swimming pool, the beaches, the food, the service and everything you can experience in the surrounding area. Top, top, top! A fantastic resort and a holiday we will look back on with very fond memories.

  Our stay at Infinity Resort Tropea was pleasant in some aspects, but there were several areas that need improvement.The main issue was cleanliness. Our room and some outdoor areas were not always well maintained. We noticed cobwebs on the restaurant chairs and ants in several areas, including on the restaurant tables, which affected our dining experience.Housekeeping could also be improved. During our five-night stay, the bed linens were never changed.Breakfast was quite average in terms of quality and variety, while dinner was sufficiently satisfactory.Overall, the resort has potential, but greater attention to cleanliness and housekeeping would make a significant difference to the guest experience.
