  SOME ASPECTS TO IMPROVE

  I stayed at Borgo Italico during the week of Ferragosto. Very cute property, located about 2 km from the center and about 1.5 km from the nearest beach. The location is quite central, the room very spacious and welcoming, equipped with a small terrace and all the comforts one needs. Upon arrival, Carlos very kindly welcomed us with small bottles of water, given the rather long trip we had taken, which we greatly appreciated. Another positive thing that you don't see in all hotels, every day at breakfast both my boyfriend and I received a small bottle of water each.The pool is cute and private even if not monitored. NEGATIVE note, there is no real Reception, but a booth where there is never anyone, I always found it empty. A place where it is written that the owner was available EXCLUSIVELY in a certain time slot, but unfortunately we don't choose what time unexpected events happen, so it happens that on our first day of staying at the property, returning from the beach, we enter the room and after about 30 minutes the power goes out. Me with wet hair, the heat that was in the room because the air conditioning at that point could not be used, the light that wasn't there, the (electric) stove that we couldn't use... and other inconveniences that arrive as a result... (It was about 9:35 PM) we tried calling the owner, my boyfriend and I made about 20 calls each, message after message, but no answer, no one who could help us, which was TOO INCONVENIENT, and it's a real shame because the property itself is small but very cute, in an excellent location and the staff (we only met Carlos who handled breakfast) were very helpful and welcoming, (much less so Andrea, the owner, who deigned to reply to the messages ONLY the following day stating that we contacted him outside of availability hours, without worrying in the slightest about what had happened, why we needed him and if everything was okay) I want to clarify that the problem was not in the whole area but only concerned us as a property, which is why we needed him or someone to point out where the utility room was to resolve the situation.For the rest, nothing to say, the only FLAW is that inside the property you are totally abandoned.   A nice place, nice location, quiet place, friendly staff, but a note we want to do: after three hours of driving below 40 degrees we would have liked to find the fridge stocked, at least a bottle of water, at least that. For the rest nothing to say. I'm sure it was an oversight. Cheers. Comprendiamo perfettamente quanto, dopo un lungo viaggio con temperature elevate, sarebbe stato piacevole trovare almeno una bottiglietta d’acqua fresca ad accoglierla.   Beautiful structure

  Excellent newly built property. Clean and great breakfast.Free parking and beautiful swimming pool. Quiet place and not far from the beach of Baia di Riace. One of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. The rooms are compulsorily equipped with all amenities.   This is a very well-kept structure. Recent renovation. Very clean rooms. Daily cleaning service. Structure with equipped swimming pool. The only flaw is the breakfast which needs improvement but overall everything was excellent!
