Some positives - large balcony with great views over the sea. A short walk into the centre of Tropea. Good breakfast and the meal we had in the evening was pleasant. However, the decor needs bringing into the 21st Century. Very old fashioned. No plugs in the sink or bidet. Rough towels, one pillow each. The staff explained nothing - like how to order dinner. They didn’t smile or show any friendliness. Large room but with minimal furniture. Very small safe, only fitting our passports. Bed a decent size. We won’t book here again.

Wonderful, family-run hotel overlooking the sea

I have just spent a wonderful week at this excellent family-run hotel. Ottavio, Maria and their children and staff are all lovely people. It felt like staying with family (the ones you get on well with!) and the service was brilliant - so kind and helpful. A real delight for me was having a delicious breakfast sitting on the balcony, looking out over the sea and served by the waiter, Nino, who was so friendly and attentive. The room was large, well-furnished and very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Charles was a perfect host. The incredible view from the terrace was a treat any time of the day, and particularly at breakfast, with a choice of eggs or sweet pastry. Charles was also helpful in getting us a taxi. Town center was a 10-15 minute walk along the streets all with views. The decor was creative with local ceramics on the walls, and the rooms were individually unique.

Spectacular view!

Amazed with this hotel and will be surely coming back in the future.Our room had a sea view, you could even see Stromboli volcano. Spectacular sunsets.Accessing the beach might be tricky for eldery or young children as you need to walk very steep stairs. But the beach is absolutely beautiful.

Nice hotel with big rooms and 3 floors, friendly staff and no lift; free parking in front of the hotel, beach access (5 min, 80 stairs) and the city center is in walking distance (~10 min). Quite surrounding, sea view (room 32), breakfast is OK,
