  This was a much more perfect stay than I had expected before coming, I must admit. Giusy at reception was patient, kind, and informative, despite the terrible heat and stuffiness. She explained everything to us and gave us all the information we needed. We bought the VOI+ package, which allowed us to check out later (1 p.m. instead of 10 a.m.) and gave us a designated beach umbrella with two sunbeds (recommended!).The resort staff are incredibly hardworking and professional. Don’t believe anyone who says they don’t speak English - they do. Every single person I spoke to did. I was especially impressed by the bar staff (Giusy, Giuseppe <3) and the entertainment team.The restaurant staff were great too, especially the manager, who was always helpful. Having the same table for the whole week was a great idea (just like having your own beach umbrella - it gives you the freedom to come and go as you like). The food was simply amazing; I have never had better food at an Italian hotel. Everything you could dream of and more.The all-inclusive drinks selection is poor, yes. If you want to drink good cocktails, you have to pay extra. This is one of the reasons I will probably not choose this hotel again, because I don’t want to have to pay more than necessary for good-quality alcohol - and this time I had to, every time I wanted an aperitivo. The complimentary selection is basically nonexistent; for anything better, you have to pay. BUT they serve proper Lavazza espresso all day long - at breakfast, lunch, and dinner - which I loved.The room was small but comfortable (and luckily, no pillar in the middle!). The only real problem was the AC: it was so, so, so loud that it was difficult to sleep at night. Yes, it worked and cooled the room, but it sounded like an old tractor. The cleaning service was perfect (do leave tips!), and the towels and bed linen were clean and soft. We had a broken toilet seat, but honestly, we didn’t really care. When the balcony door handle broke, the repairman came immediately and fixed it in five minutes.The place itself is truly beautiful - like a botanical garden or a jungle - well maintained and with amazing views.And yes, lots of children, mostly Italian children - loud and spoilt.One final note: Erica, the VOI Point manager - please be a little kinder to foreign guests too, not only to Italians.

  Great hotel, located in a quiet place. Friendly service. The gluten-free offer for coeliacs is a big plus. We will definitely come back. The only thing I would add are mats and resistance bands at the gym, that's what's missing there.

  Excellent resort, attention to details and fantastic staff. Perfect for all age groups from toddles all the way to adults. Evening shows are excellent and restaurant and bar services second to none!

  Been to various hotels in Italy and this is the worst.Senior Management is not around to talk too.1.Rooms on top floor are sweat box's due to poor insulation of flat rooves.Aircon works but very noisy to sleep with it on.2.Sewer piles vent onto balcony so the smell if you venture out sometimes makes you gag.We had to change rooms as our whole room was very bad.3.Rooms are cramped with poor layout and narrow gap between bed and wardrobe.4.Room clean but no plug power which I need for a medical device. maintenance were called eventually and using Google translate the receptions attitude to the mainance man was along the lines of does this guest realy need power? (NOT HAPPY WITH THAT COMMENT)Maintenance guy brilliant (name Perin) and said "the machines I front of me!!"Reception had no one to move us so mainance help us move.5.Upon arrival no help to room at first,noticed the young porter was just standing around I had to ask for help.THEN we had been given the wrong key so a long treck back to reception. It all took over 45mins from arrival and by then restaurant was shut no help offered with food or drink Found the food supervisor( Nicolas) who got us some light refreshments.6.Only paper cups at the bar and asking for a slice of lemon in our GnT got the reply" that's realy for paying customers!!!!" We are All Inc , none All inc pay as they go get better treatment.The look on my face as I told he we had paid and I got "I will make a concession today.NOT IMPRESSED. Were told busy staff there's no more money to get out of you so we are told to prioritise customers hmwho are paying cash!!! Is this hotel in trouble I wonder?7.Food is plentiful but never hot for most dishes.NOTE I've had an upset stomach for 10 days coincided with seeing the chef at the BBQ area putting pork chops on the griddle the using the same gloved hand to salt the chips,other oor standards also observed BEWARE.8.Very few English which is fine but bar staff take orders for Italian speaking guests behind you before serving you.It seems this hotel does not like English guests who seem to get the worst rooms and service.Oh and Good Luck with the internet.MANAGEMENT Please don't bother with a fake apology you are aware of these issues and do nothing about them.There are numerous other things but hopefully these are enough for people to know what they can expect.Some people will accept anything.FOUR STAR IT IS NOT.   We visited VOI Floriana Resort during the last week of September 2025, as an adult family. We did not use the hotel shuttle service to and from the airport instead we used Uber which is much cheaper, however as we were slightly out of season we did have a longer wait for an uber. When we arrived at the hotel the check-in was very quick, we did have to pay slightly more than I initially thought. There was tourist tax and I think 'entertainment tax' this was about 60 euros each. I think they could give you slightly more information on check in, in terms of restaurants and general facilities around the resort. Although this was tricky as it is mainly Italian holiday makers not many brits and only some staff could speak English.RoomsWe had a garden room, which included a double bed, single bed and an outside area with an outdoor shower and ensuite. The rooms were very clean, although it was smaller that it looked in the pictures. The staff were very friendly and rooms are cleaned every morning. Bed was very comfy. I would bring shower gel/soap, shampoo and conditioner as the one the hotel provides is basically a dissolvable tablet and body wash! The shower was good and very powerful but hairdryer wasn't great! For brits there is also no kettle in the rooms! The wifi doesn't reach the rooms. Swimming Pool/BeachThe swimming pool is clean and there were plenty of sun beds available. There is a childrens pool next to the adult pool. Beach Towels were available for a 10 euro cash deposit per towel and if you would like the towel washed its 2 euros . The hotel is situated on the beach front, if you can get up early to watch the sunrise its stunning! The first 2 rows of the sunbeds closest to the sea are not available unless you pay more at reception and then you can use them. RestaurantsThere is 1 main restaurant that is open for breakfast/lunch/dinner. You get allocated a table for your whole stay. There is a large selection of food on offer each day, however not all the food is labelled so if you have allergies or dietary requirements please be careful. Food was also not always particularly warm and plates were not warmed. They had quite a few wasps in the morning at breakfast around all the outside tables. Tea/coffee and juices are available at breakfast but not for lunch or dinner. They have a snack bar on the beach which is open from 10am to midnight which has snacks and drinks. They also have another bar that you can get drinks from in the evening.Daily activitiesThe hotel has many activities such as water aerobics, yoga, zumba, volleyball, and bowls. There is horse riding along the beach in the evening for an additional cost of 60 euros per person. The animation team are great! There is table tennis, you can hire the bat and ball for a small cash deposit.LocationThe hotel is very rural, you can walk to 1 shop and 1 restaurant. We hired a car from the hotel for a day which was 120 euros, we went to Tropea and Le Castella, I would recommend these towns as they are beautiful! If you are staying in peak times I would recommend booking the hire car as soon as you get there as they get booked up very quickly!Overall we had a lovely stay, if you're looking for a relaxing week at a hotel on the beach this is perfect!
