We visited VOI Floriana Resort during the last week of September 2025, as an adult family. We did not use the hotel shuttle service to and from the airport instead we used Uber which is much cheaper, however as we were slightly out of season we did have a longer wait for an uber. When we arrived at the hotel the check-in was very quick, we did have to pay slightly more than I initially thought. There was tourist tax and I think 'entertainment tax' this was about 60 euros each. I think they could give you slightly more information on check in, in terms of restaurants and general facilities around the resort. Although this was tricky as it is mainly Italian holiday makers not many brits and only some staff could speak English.RoomsWe had a garden room, which included a double bed, single bed and an outside area with an outdoor shower and ensuite. The rooms were very clean, although it was smaller that it looked in the pictures. The staff were very friendly and rooms are cleaned every morning. Bed was very comfy. I would bring shower gel/soap, shampoo and conditioner as the one the hotel provides is basically a dissolvable tablet and body wash! The shower was good and very powerful but hairdryer wasn't great! For brits there is also no kettle in the rooms! The wifi doesn't reach the rooms. Swimming Pool/BeachThe swimming pool is clean and there were plenty of sun beds available. There is a childrens pool next to the adult pool. Beach Towels were available for a 10 euro cash deposit per towel and if you would like the towel washed its 2 euros . The hotel is situated on the beach front, if you can get up early to watch the sunrise its stunning! The first 2 rows of the sunbeds closest to the sea are not available unless you pay more at reception and then you can use them. RestaurantsThere is 1 main restaurant that is open for breakfast/lunch/dinner. You get allocated a table for your whole stay. There is a large selection of food on offer each day, however not all the food is labelled so if you have allergies or dietary requirements please be careful. Food was also not always particularly warm and plates were not warmed. They had quite a few wasps in the morning at breakfast around all the outside tables. Tea/coffee and juices are available at breakfast but not for lunch or dinner. They have a snack bar on the beach which is open from 10am to midnight which has snacks and drinks. They also have another bar that you can get drinks from in the evening.Daily activitiesThe hotel has many activities such as water aerobics, yoga, zumba, volleyball, and bowls. There is horse riding along the beach in the evening for an additional cost of 60 euros per person. The animation team are great! There is table tennis, you can hire the bat and ball for a small cash deposit.LocationThe hotel is very rural, you can walk to 1 shop and 1 restaurant. We hired a car from the hotel for a day which was 120 euros, we went to Tropea and Le Castella, I would recommend these towns as they are beautiful! If you are staying in peak times I would recommend booking the hire car as soon as you get there as they get booked up very quickly!Overall we had a lovely stay, if you're looking for a relaxing week at a hotel on the beach this is perfect!

Very good let down by a few small things

Loved the place! Issue was no WiFi in room so little one could not watch their shows. Says kettle in nursery but was just a saucepan and hob not convenient when trying to rush a bottle.

Great with one BIG resentment

This resort really has almost everything. The staff is extremely friendly, and I would especially like to praise Karola, the fitness instructor with incredible energy and attitude. Thanks to her, I actually worked out on holiday, which I normally never do. The rooms are standard for the price — clean and adequate. The food is very good, varied, and there are plenty of fun activities. One thing to be aware of for foreign guests is that everything is in Italian, and very few of the staff speak English, so if you are expecting evening shows or explanations in English, this won’t be available. For us this was not a big issue. However, there is one major problem that I find unacceptable and very disappointing. When you arrive at the resort and take towels, you leave a deposit, which is completely normal. What no one tells you — neither at reception nor by the pool staff — is that the resort has a “no reservation” policy for sunbeds. This would not be an issue if it was properly communicated, but it is not explained anywhere. Here’s what happened: one day we left our towels, bag, books, sunglasses and personal things on the sunbeds while we went to lunch for 20 minutes. When we returned, all of our belongings had been cleared away and thrown onto a big pile together with other tourists’ things. Our towels were mixed up with dozens of others, our bag was tossed disrespectfully onto the pile, and our books ended up wet because other people’s damp towels had been thrown on top. I had very expensive sunglasses in the bag, and luckily they weren’t broken, but they easily could have been. The worst part was seeing many other angry tourists in the same situation — none of us had ever been told about this policy, and yet our personal belongings were being handled and thrown around. This is not only disrespectful, but also potentially damaging to valuable items. I cannot understand how this can be considered acceptable. If you go swimming in the sea or pool, should you also carry all your things with you in fear they’ll be thrown away? It makes no sense, especially since the resort was never full and there were always free sunbeds available. This one policy — and especially the way it is enforced without any explanation or warning — completely ruined the experience for us (we will be still here 7 more day but needed to write). It is the only reason why we would not return to this resort. A guest’s personal belongings should never be treated this way.

Lovely family holiday

Beautiful hotel, scenery and food! The food is incredible!!Cons:- The recommended airport transfer service via the concierge is awful. Don’t waste your time and money - just get a taxi (it ruined the beginning and end of our holiday)- The British don’t frequent here (mostly Italian holidayers), so there’s minimal English speaking. Only really was an issue with kids club - no one for my son to converse with- No inside areas for entertainment to escape the peak day sunOther than that, it was really wonderful!Pros:- The best all inclusive food we’ve ever eaten - fresh and so much variety- Lots to do, good splash and swimming pools- Good kids club and evening entertainment - Lots to drink on all inclusive (although disappointing cups)- Plenty of sun beds at the pool and beach, you won’t ever not get one- Stunning sandy beach (pebbles at the water so take beach shoes)
