  A fabulous holiday at Tui Magic Life Calabria

  We had a fabulous holiday with Tui Magic Life Calabria, all of which was a complete surprise! We went with the impression that with all inclusive it might be a bit rough and ready in terms of the food and drinks provided plus the types of people this might attract. How completely wrong we were, the food, drinks and especially entertainment catered for all age groups! The day trip to Coast of the Gods, Tropea and Pizzo was well organised and led with plenty of time to explore both cities. The organised group cycle rides were professionally run and responsibly described to avoid over exertion by over enthusiastic born again riders! The daily run sea boat trip was just 12 people offering snorkelling, sea fishing, dolphin and whale watching. The only downside regrettably was the 2 hours it took to both to enter and exit the country through Aeroporto di Lamezia, absolutely shameful letting down a poor but absolutely beautiful region in Italy much dependent on tourism. I must emphasise that this was wholly outside the control of Tui and their reps who throughout the holiday could not have been more friendly, happy and helpful.

  2nd time around..

  Recently returned from our 2nd stay here the 1st being a couple of years ago with our 2 teenage sons which we all thoroughly enjoyed. This visit was just my wife and I so it was a bit slower paced. Saying that though through our 10 day stay at some point each day we took part in various classes,yoga,stretching,hit,the tennis ball massage 1 (very painful & very good ??) and used the gym.We did not use the pool at all as we really like this beach here & the snorkeling is good with loads of fish.The beach bar/lunch restaurant and toilets are very good the bbq days ?? even better.No complaints regarding the food all around and never a problem to get a drink from the bars.We hired a car which we always do for a day or two,which gives you a chance to explore further afield at your own pace.On our previous visit there was 3 speciality restaurants now there is only 2. One used to be where the coffee/ice-cream shop now is and it was a very good waiter served meal and the beach location was a speciality fish restaurant which was nice for an evening meal now it is just a limited choice pizza place.The trattoria is still very good for choice on offer and table served. Also previously the night time entertainment was very good with shows on at the auditorium daily this time not so much.As ever the gardens,grounds and rooms all very well maintained.As is often said coffee/tea making facilities in the room would be good. Would we return for a 3rd time, probably yes..

  2nd visit and still is a fabulous resort that made me return . From the moment you stepped off the transfer coach , the organisation of the check in was again fantastic, suitcases taken by the hard working bellboys and delivered to our allocated room in the private lodge . Entered our room to a nice surprise from guest services and the room was spotless with towels decorated with a hibiscus ?? flower . The PL restaurant is well organised , plenty of choices and the serving waiters and waitresses all work very hard and make you feel very welcome so full credit to them all . One of our travelling party has got dementia and I wish to say a massive thank you and praise to Bruno , and Filomenia for their attention and understanding towards our travelling companion, this was first class hospitality and will never be forgotten. If you are celebrating anything and wish to surprise anyone, please book a celebration package through guest services! It was a beautiful touch when all the staff at the PL restaurant sang happy birthday in Italian to my wife whilst carrying a birthday cake ?? . In the evening you can relax in the Private Lodge bar, listen to some entertainment whilst being greeted by salvatory who was forever smiling and nothing was too much trouble if you needed something . Abundance of activities to do so we tried the archery ?? we had so much fun and again with my friends illness , a heartfelt thanks to Ben the instructor on his assistance and patience with his help thank you ???? The grounds are immaculate and well maintained by the gardeners who always work tirelessly from trimming and take the time to say Buongiorno . To be honest and from my travelling experiences , I can not understand some of the negative reviews that have been written as every member of the resort go out of their ways to be helpful , polite , hardworking and friendly . It is always sad that if there are little issues why do the professional moaners leave things until the end or it always seems to be the first contribution on TA so that tells me something ! Thank you tui magic Calabria , thank you everyone for your hospitality and I’m already looking for 2027 and beyond !

  2nd time here and is a special as last year. This hotel is very special and we love staying here. We stayed in the adult Lodge and loved it as we did last year. Team were great and we were truly looked after. The reception team are very helpful as usual. The food is amazing and such a great choice of dishes. The serving team were great but the younger ones still have a lot to learn as they would forget our drinks orders, but very friendly. Also i would like to mention that we had to wait a few times for the tables to be laid as dirty plates were left on tables. I would like to mention Isabella, who is amazing and so hard working. Lovely lady and always there to assist. The 2 people at the poolside bars were lovely too. Tereasa and Salvotory were lovely and such lovely people. The whole experience here was truly relaxing and a good rest. We are definitely coming back and I will hopefully be bring my family here in the next few years and I'm sure they will love it here.
