    A beautiful location, fab service, super clean, views to die for, a real homely and relaxing feel. We came here for a child free weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a real calmness energy at all times. If you needed someone they were there to assist in a friendly yet professional way. We had the lake view room with a very large terrace perfect for reading a book with a glass of wine/ coffee. The room is on the small side but with a large terrace with loungers and a view like that it really didn’t matter. The cocktail bar and spa at the sister hotel was also fab, and I look forward to coming back again.     Unusual small hotel associated with a larger more standard hotel close by. Everything just a delight. Quirky but it all works.     Nestled on the top of a hill above the promenade theviews were amazing.We raised an issue with the shower in our room (102), itwas cold both mornings before we'd to leave at 7am.Staff said it should be working if you run the water for a few minutes - it was still freezing. We asked after for a partial refund but they only offered a small discount when we stay next. Casa sull'albero Lago di Como, General Manager at Casa Sull'Albero, responded to this review Dear Michael,Both of our boilers are brand new and have been recently replaced. Following the advice of our technician, we recommend letting the water run for a few minutes if it is not immediately warm. As part of our internal procedures, we check the boilers every morning, and no malfunctions were reported during your stay. The water was never found to be cold. Furthermore, none of the other guests reported similar issues in the same period.Please kindly note that you stayed in a room with garden view 301 and not in a studio suite with garden view 102.While we regret that our offer of a discount for a future stay was not appreciated, we also cannot ignore that your judgment seems, to say the least, severe and unfair, as it does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide.
